Happy Birthday To Me...

Well, this day I did dread and that has stirred things up so has almost come and gone. I do have to say it has turned out to be a very nice day.

First thing this morning I was greeted with lots of well wishes from coowrkers at a store meeting. A little bird did mention my bday beforehand and the boss caught wind of it.  Then a coworker did make a special trip in on her day off (bringing her little sister in tow on their way to Longwood Gardens) to bring a small gift bag and to wish me a happy birthday. Our company does give us a small complimentary cake on our bday but with buttercream icing. I mentioned wishing it was whipped and a very dear friend did go over and decorate one with the other icing specially for me. (I gave her hell and said I get a free one with the other stuff, why did she do that?... she responded and said "Hey, this is free. I paid for it. " She laughed and said I should feel honored because she came out of "retirement" just to do this for me. She has carpal tunnel and no longer works in the bakery but in another dept.

Stbx sent flowers at work. The boss bought me a couple scratch offs (Won $2 to try one more tomorrow . haha) I took a big hoagie home for dinner.(Was not cooking today. )     Oh yes, cannot forget my dear friend (adoptive work kid) did take it upon herself on break to show me how to block the asshole who had all the nasty things to say ... and has since still been texting me several times a night to try to get me to chat again. So I am rid of him on the app. I may have to block him on here too. (Since I did already take him off my friends list a long time back, he may just leave me be . If not, I will block him here too. )  I have suffered enough verbal abuse over the years, don't need more. 

And again, to my true friends here, I do say thank you... for all my birthday (and REbirthday) wishes.
