HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME 6/11! lol//movie "Defiance" EXCELLENT//birthday cake
happy birthday to me! lol. had italian wedding cake at the house up north, which is mostly gone. had layered cake at k's. watched a movie called "defiance" about wwII living in the woods on the russian border and surviving. its a true story. by the end of the war there were 1200 of them. i never knew about any of this and the movie was excellent. they are really starting to reveal how people survived and the atrocities in the passed 15 years or so. don't remember ever learning any of it as a kid.
like the thing with hitler taking all the blonde blue eyed babies to age ten and putting the kids in schools to germanize them. the kids were from norway, poland etc., and were never returned to their parents. if they didn't learn german well enough they were sent to labor camps. wonder why they never told us about this stuff until now? scary. they are also publishing the cartoons put out in the 1930's about hitler and other things. they called all of the countries not fighting hitler spineless democracies and the cartoon is of hitler walking on the backs of men bent over and the name of around a dozen countries on each back. says a lot. what a mess.
rg was there as well. k had surgery yesterday. elisabeth is very ill with mange and needs aggressive treatment. won't go into this now. also loren (ronnie) called, he hurt his back and hip and thinks he is dying. for real. he is getting rid of all kinds of stuff including the kittens he adopted last year. so that will be next. have no idea if his kids realize what he thinks. his children and his brothers are doctors here and up north. loren is on pain medication but nothing is helping.
i'm still using the menthol stuff for my shoulders. went to timeshare for a night swim and that was fun ditto with the jacuzzi. super hot. it is raining a lot lately as well.
having a lot of trouble with ds. superslow and just not posting. grrrrr.

What is really scary is that the U.S had a plan where mentally retard folk were sterilized so that no more mentally retarded folk could be born, and it really happened here! Eric
did they do it? i think the biggest problem in usa is that our smartest people aren\'t teachers, because the pay is so low. in many other countries the smartest people are teachers and professors and paid well for it. doctors and lawyers are common and don\'t make that much money. in usa, people that choose education as a profession aren\'t good students and are looking for an easy major, so we are learning from the bad with bad habits instead of the smartest with great study habits etc., huge difference.
I never heard of any of this either. I was just under the assumption that all hitler was concerned about was killing everyone or performing horrible medical experience on those poor defenseless children.
Maybe it was just a bit much for us to learn that in school. I don\'t know. It is still difficult to hear it to this day the horrific things that MONSTER did.
But on a lighter note........I hope you had a wonderful birthday and enjoyed the cake. I don\'t think I\'ve heard of \"Italian wedding cake\". Unless it is an Italian getting married..........and having a cake. :-)))

I think you may be right about keeping us in the dark as to some of the atrocities of the past. If you bring them up, the \"Higher Ups\" say it never happened. Not very wise, eh?? History, is history and it\'s written down and people have lived to talk about it!!!
DS is truly messed up. I\'m coming to this journal late. Have noticed since yesterday, that some things are picking up speed. Hope it continues to improve. Nobody\'s journaling much. We\'re sick on here.....this is just too much for most of us.
