HAPPY BIRTHDAY! R U SURE???
OK, peeps, my birthday was one not to be believed....honestly! ROFLOLFirst my youngest son, 10, decides (AGAINST MY WISHES) to have a surprise bday party for me and made up a bunch of invitations. I think he invited all the church, as he couldn't remember, and maybe even the world! Anyway, I hate parties but being 10 I think he thought it would be a good excuse for CAKE & ICE CREAM. Ah, the truth of the matter, yes? ROFLOLNow, I found out because I caught him passing out the invites at church. I told my husband he needed to handle this as I wasn't supposed to know. He totally cracked up knowing I was in a pickle. I didn't want a party but I wouldn't dare hurt or disappoint my son.So, I did explain to son that parties are alot of work when he was talking of such things. First you must clean the entire house so it will look nice for the company, prepare all the foods, and then clean up after all the company leaves. He was not phased in the least and did as required. Husband all the while cracking up at my expense! So, PRAISE GOD, son had no clue about timing of parties as he set it for 2 PM on a Friday when everyone is at work. THANK YOU GOD! I wanted the party a success for him but didn't want all those people, etc. I like people I just don't want a party in my honor as I am the one preparing all the food, cleaning, etc. And in case you were wondering, this one was NO EXCEPTION!So, bday arrives. My mom calls bright and early. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Now, you just have to know my mom. Sometimes she is "home" and other times the "porch light is OUT" if you know what I mean. On good days, enjoy her and on the off days just let things slide. THIS WAS HER OFF DAY OFF COURSE. Now, good in that she actually remembered the day I was born but had no clue as to my age.She said, "You're 42 this year, right?" I said, "No, mom, I'm 46." She replied in shock, "Are you sure?" I said "Yes, mom, I'm sure. I'm 46." She then became incredulous and very loudly declared, "OH MY GOD! YOU'RE ALMOST 50!" Uh, yeah, thanks mom. And that was how my day BEGAN! It was all down hill from there and I shan't bore you with details, just imagine being shoved full tilt down an Olympic Luge course and can only hold on for life. Yep, thank God bdays are but 1x per year.I hope by now you are laughing hysterically to the point of peeing you pants as I am either 42, 46 or OH MY GOD! ALMOST 50! ROFLOL

I believe I am getting older but I am not getting old. Old is an attitude and my attitude is pretty fiesty and full of piss and vinegar as my grandpa would say. ROFLOL Love & hugs to you all and thank GOD since it was at 2 on Friday only 1 church member showed as everyone works. YEAH! The rest was my family. WHEW, dodged the bullet on that one eh? ROFLOL
