Happy Birthday Mike
Mike, You should be turning 36 today, I missed teasing you on turning 30. Now going towards 40 I would love to know how things would be working out for you.
I labored long time with you, finally at dinner time you made your way into this world.
When you got older you loved the evening time, your love of cooking evolved so when you worked it was cooking for the dinner crowd, you did not get out of work till late. Did your time on an evening birth contribute to your likes and dislikes your interests. This I will never know. Your son will turn 7 in a couple of weeks I am trying to figure out what to get him for his birthday present. He is growing up under the eyes of his Mother and David. His life is not the easiest but I would love it to be better. I remember your dreams of how you would like your family to be and the dreams you wanted to aspire to.
You had a great sense of humor, just like your dad. The two of you had fun together fishing and hunting. I know your father misses you deeply, his interest in life has taken a downward spiral over the last 7 years. Now with his brain having problems I know he wishes he had you still in his life to keep him going but now only fading memories.
I hope you get your apple pie and ice cream today, I know it was always your favorite birthday thing ( pie over cake who would ever have thought).

I grow to love each of our children more and more and when it\'s journals such as yours that are such a peek into their daily lives that I truly feel it even that much more.

Happy birthday to Mike, your beloved son. Thank G-d our sons left kids for us to love...so sad that they hardly remember their dad who loved them so much. My husband wrote a little book about our Jacob, with lots of photos, to give to his children, his siblings, to help them remember. Of course, we will never forget......growing them under our breast bones, month by slow month. Big hugs, abby
