Happy Birthday
I'm writing this tonight, as I don't know what tomorrow will bring in the workplace to prevent me from writing this entry in my journal.
I came to our gravesite today, as I do every holiday, anniversary, and birthday. I placed flowers for your birthday. Hard to believe you left this earth almost 16 months ago, and harder still to fathom that your beautiful, loving soul, has been reduced to a box of ashes in the ground.
How I miss you. How I thought that today we would be dining at our favorite restaurant with good friends to celebrate another birthday. How I thought that tomorrow you would turn 64. How I thought that I would need to get my butt in gear and start the wheels in motion to have employment settled in anticipation of your 65th birthday, and our plans to snowbird in Florida.
Instead, I long to be in your arms, smell your neck, and dance in the living room to our favorite tunes. Instead, I dedicate church altar flowers in memory of your birthday, and instead, I place flowers at the grave.
I wonder if God acknowledges birthdays in heaven. If so, make the best of another year without me. Know that you live in my heart, forever connected in my soul.
Happy Birthday, Love Muffin

Debbie,
What a wonderful birthday wish.......for your dear husband. I know how much you miss him and how much you miss sharing your life with him. It shows in everything that you say and do.
I really hope that God acknowledges birthdays and that our wonderful husbands are celebrating their special day. Hugs to you for a good day,
Chris
Debbie,
What a wonderful tribute to your husband. Happy Birthday to him. I\'m sure he\'s watching and knows how much he is loved. We can only wait for our day to join together again and rejoice our special days together again. Hugs to you and know you are making a good difference in many lives.
Debbie;
It\'s hard to celebrate the wonderful life they had with us and grieve their loss at the same time. All these special dates tear both ways as we miss their physcial presence and comfort while acknowledging our eternal spiritual connection, it\'s all such a mixed bag of emotions. Hug, Donna
It is great that you acknowledge your husband\'s birthday. I believe people do continue to have birthdays. A birth date is something God has given us...so why not. Our anniversary...7th will be on Thursday. I do not want to go to the grave that day, as I have evidence Todd is not confined to his grave. I wish for you to get through the day in peace. Kaaren
I know that Dick is not confined to his grave either, but I still go and commemorate the day by placing flowers. It is just something that makes me feel good.
He is with me 24/7, but it sucks that today is his birthday and we are separated. I wonder what he is doing, thinking and how he is celebrating his day. I hate this. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
Debbie we have celebrated 2 of Franks birthdays since he left this earth.l always say l,m having a private day,but the kids don,t do this.His 63rd birthday was in July and the kids and grandkids set chinese lanterns off,bought cakes,so it was a celebration of his life.l,m sure they do celebrate birthdays in heaven,we must always remember these special days and keep them close to us.
