Happy birth

Hi,  it's been a long time since I have been on DS.  I went back to work at the clinic  that I was working at before Johnny passed away.  They are very strict there so I can get online at all.
Today is my 53Rd birthday.  When I woke up this morning I almost wanted to not go in, but my inner joyful self wouldn't let me do that.  It reminded me that I have always loved birthdays.  It's a new start on a journal of empty pages.  I can write my own story for the next year.  So... I showed up for work.  The girls there had decorated my office.  I received a new journal from one of the girls.  And my office manager let me have the afternoon off.
So here I sit treating myself to a pedicure.  I've heard from my family and friends.  And I miss Johnny like crazy.  Although he was always one of those men who said he didn't care much for birthdays.  Somehow he always managed to make mine so special.  I don't know what the rest of the day holds. But for now. It's just me and y'all and the manicurist.  Happy 53rd Birthday to me.  Thank you all for still being here.
