Happy and Blessed Easter!

Hi Sisters,I sent this to my friends and family:I came home for the Easter weekend, and I'm happy to report that I am still doing well.  I have had 7 radiation treatments so far, out of the 28.  So I think if my math is correct, I am one fourth of the way done!  I have had a little stomach sensitivity, but that's about it at this point.   Except for lots of hot flashes daily.  Thankfully I live in Wisconsin and all I have to do is open the nearest window and the cool wind comes in!I had my 5 week check-up from the surgery last week, and the doctor said all is normal.  My tummy is more flabby now, so I'll have to research how is the best way to deal with that when I'm done with all this.  I saw the radiation nurse for my weekly check-up the same day, and was  told that I had lost some weight since the first consult.  She said that is not good, and I should keep eating, especially the protein food group.  But as long as I can eat, I should eat whatever I can.  I told her that it shouldn't hurt me to lose weight since I started with a good amount, and she said that is to my advantage.  If you are really skinny and lose weight during this time, it's not good.  So, what do you know, finally a reason to be fat!  (But I would suggest being in as good as shape as possible in case to be prepared for anything.  It's important to have a strong, healthy body.)So far my goal of being positive every day is working out, and I contribute that to the Hope Lodge people, and the radiology department in Marshfield, Wisconsin.  Everybody works very hard to always stay upbeat and have cheerful attitudes.  You can find more information on other Hope Lodges at http://www.cancer.orgFor my Avon customers, I am still taking orders.  You can leave a message on my home phone, use the online website, or you can e-mail me at this address.  My daughter is helping me with things, so the next order will come in as scheduled on Monday, and we will get in touch with you one way or another.  If you did not get your books, let me know, and we will fix that! We are having great weather here this weekend-sunny and not too cool-in the 50's even!  I am starting to see little green pieces of plants coming up, and a few early tulips are timidly starting to grow.  I'll have to get out with my camera and get some pictures! So that's the weekly update, and I wish you all a very Happy Easter, and for those of you who celebrate Passover, I hope it was blessed, and let's all look forward to new life coming with Spring!Love you all,Theresa
