Happy About
Today is Tuesday. Bob is working. He is getting in great shape from climbing the mountains with all his equipment. I miss that a lot. Being with him, climbing mountains and being in shape. I feel more like a blob every day. I do work out and use my treadmill about 5 times a week, but it's just not the same.
Enough complainin'. My husband is very handsome and looks super great. Guess I'm a little jealous.
Okay, now enough complaining. Haha.
My birthday is coming soon - January 25th. The kids want to get together. Yay. We need to make plans.
I was watching this video on utube. It was of a dolphin stampede. Wow, it was really amazing. Dolphins jumping and diving all over the place. It made me reflect on life for a moment. How great is LIFE? I don't just mean my life, but life in general. We're here on this planet traveling through space with all these crazy-wonderful things happening every single day. I sometimes feel a complete reverence for life. Like the times when I taught anatomy and I would bring the human brain (real, from a donor) into class and talk about the anatomy of the brain, naming the gyri (bumps) and the sulci (depressions) and tracing the ventricles where the cerebrospinal fluid is formed (from the blood) and how it flows through the brain and around the spinal cord and around the brain to drain into the blood and start all over again. Then I would stop talking and just hold this brain in my hands and marvel that I was holding a human life. There in his brain (it was a man's brain) was where all his thoughts and feelings used to be. His loves, his hates, his questions, his discoveries. And I was holding it in my hands. Truly amazing. Complete humility and reverence.
Today I am loving life. And it's a good thing because I have to go now and pay bills and do laundry. Ugh. And Wow.
