Happy Day
Hey all my friends! If you read this, I sure hope you love birds. Even a little! Or I may convince you (if you don't love them) to start enjoying this year round FREE flying wonders.
Yesterday was really warm, in the mid 60's. Wasn't feeling great so spent most of the day in bed. BUT I noticed how many birds were at my feeders. Literally about 2 dozen gold finches were frantically eating up the Nyger (aka Thistle)! LOVED seeing every post on the feeder with at least one bird on it.
Woke up today, Fri 18Mar16, and it was even nicer. Aka in the mid 40's. Wyn, my beloved dogbert, and I love winter! I was eating my illicit oatmeal breaky and what do I spy with my little eye? A LIFE BIRD!!! On MY FEEDER! So darn excited I almost dropped my spoon.
Yep, here's the bird that I'm raving over: a yellow-shafted flicker. It's a large almost crow-sized woodpecker and I could HEAR it's feathers as it flew. SIgh. My heart flies with all my feathered friends. Guess I really had no choice in loving birds as my name is Robbin.
