Happy 52nd Birthday Lisa
It has been a crappy week. I couldn't figure out why I was out of sorts. It is April and Lisa's birthday is today. I have been crying all day. Some years are worsde than others. This year was worse.
I feel stuck here in Calgary. My family is in Edmonton and Ottawa. I'd move but this is home for Joe but this is Joe's happy place. So I guess we will wait for a crisis.
We are showing our age. Memory - trouble with words. I often forget names. Balance - It was always good but lately I have been having vertigo. I hang on to the rail when going down stairs. Aches and pains. I have low back pain when I walk distances; and when I am in bed. Getting up is a chore. I had my hearing checked. I have mild hearing loss. I am trying a hearing aid which is going back next week. It helps minimally but not worth it, It also is itchy. I won't go into the rest of my geriatric issues!
I started a post early last month. I left it as a draft. I tried to finish it and post but being the tech idiot, I couldn't figure it out. Anyway, a good friend of mine lost her son in March. He was in ICU for over a month. She lives in Mexico and he was in Seattle. I went and spent a week with her. I am glad I went. She lives in Mexico and only has one friend in Seattle.
Perhaps that made Lisa's birthday so hard. Another angel.
So that is it for now!

Thinking of you Marlene and your darling Lisa.. Birthdays are so hard, no matter how many years.
Sorry to hear about your health issues, I'm struggling with a few too, being in the 8th decade sucks but trying my best.
Sending you love and hugs,
Sue
Birthdays...and every other day....can be so hard sometimes. I get it. Some years I seem to breeze through the dates (birth and "angel") and other years those days can turn me into a soggy puddle on the floor. (((hugs)))
I think I'm a few years younger than you, yet all the things you mention, I too am experiencing....and other "unmentionables" too! It worries me to be aging so quickly. Both my parents died at 71, and Brother was only 70. I turned 61 yesterday (4/22) and wonder how many years do I really have left. I'm going for a hearing test next month due to the shrill ringing in my ears; I also know I don't hear as well as I once did. The aches and pains and meds are just so darn annoying!!!
I'm so very sorry your dear friend's son passed. SO HARD! I know you were a blessing to her shattered heart and she will forever be grateful for you being with her during this devastating time.
Happy birthday to your beautiful and amazing Lisa, and tight heart hugs for you dear friend (((hugs))).
Happy belated birthday beautiful. I’m sorry for the issues, it’s a bitch getting old….so sorry for the loss of another child. Hugs, love and strength…some days are still harder than others.
