A very special Happy Anniversary wish, for my mom and dad! :) Today, is their 50th anniversary! :) They got married, on January 16th, 1965 :) my mom and dad are having a beautiful day, surrounded by love, spirit, and excitement, of a magical day, celebrating their Golden Anniversary, 50th! :) This is so wonderful! :) THANK YOU! :) awww! :) my family and i thank you all so very much, for your beautifully heart warming happy anniversary wishes for my mom and dad :) i shared your lovely wishes with them :) my mom (ANN) and my dad (CHARLES) say, "Thank you so much! it's a wonderful day" :) awww! :) We've felt your wonderful loving spirits with us, throughout the day :) i am so happy, excited, and thrilled! :) i've got lots and lots to share, including pictures of my mom and dad, from their wedding day, and their first years, living together, in their first home, and then our current home :) Wonderful times being shared, heart-felt memories being made, to always cherish, and treasure :) We went out for a wonderful lunch today, at the Chinese restaurant/buffet :) it was so nice, and we enjoyed lots of delicious foods :) it was awesome! :) We also baked Brownies for my mom and dad this afternoon :)
my mom and dad are having such a wonderful 50th anniversary celebration! :) oh my! :) They sure are happy!!! :) they are having such a nice time, and we all are having so much fun today, sharing in, celebrating, and enjoying all of the very special moments :) These beautiful times, are creating many memories, we'll always cherish, and treasure :) We love my mom and dad, so very much! :) Thank you all, for celebrating with us, and for helping make their anniversary very special :) my mom and dad have a special shoutout, and thank you, for our dear, and lovely friends, Lucy (JoyHoly), her daughter Cathia, and their family :) This morning, i said to my mom and dad, "mom, dad, this box of chocolates, is from Lucy, Cathia, and their family" :) aww! :) They are so happy, and wanted me to make sure i sent a special thank you, to Lucy, Cathia, and family :) my mom and dad are going to share the chocolates :) Awww! :) This morning, we were all gathering around, to give my mom and dad their gifts :) they love the golden anniversary card i gave them, plus, i gave them their lottery tickets, shaped like a 5 and 0 :) They were so surprised! :) awww! :) my sister Lisa gave my mom and dad, $100, to share, and my niece Alyssa baked a 2 tier cake, with roses/glasses for my mom and dad :) They're very happy! :)
It's a joyful day, and time :) my mom and dad love to share stories with us, about their very special wedding day :) it was January 16th, 1965 :) my mom and dad were still in their teenage years :) i believe my mom was 17, and my dad was 16, at the time :) back then, it was very common, for people their age to get married :) my mom and dad, met in Waterford, Connecticut back in the early 1960's :) my dad, originally was from Veesee, Maine :) he grew up in Maine, and my mom grew up in the Waterford, CT area :) my nana Paula (my mom's dad) traveled to Connecticut, my dad was here, for a while, and met my mom in high school, through friends :)Their 1st meeting was, at a party/gathering, in New London, CT, in the house, right across where my grandma now lives! :) Amazing!!! :) my mom and dad began to date, and eventually got engaged, and married on January 16th, 1965 :) they had a really nice wedding, that my mom and dad love to share with us about :)
On that January 16th day, back in 1965, my mom and dad mentioned, there was a snowstorm/blizzard that day. they were at the church service for the reception, and mentioned, that the priest/minister almost didn't make it to the wedding ceremony, due to the weather, but thankfully did :) They were so happy, and thankful the priest/minister arrived safely :) After their wedding, my dad began to work print jobs, at places in the area, he officially relocated to CT here, while my nana Paula went back to Maine, and she met a guy, who eventually became my grandpa Jack :) my mom and dad saved up money, and found a home in Niantic, Connecticut :) my mom worked at a restaurant called "the Shack", and my dad was working more and more into the printing :)
they were in their first home, for about 8 years. :) They had, my brother Charlie, my brother Bobby, and then had my sister Lisa :) When they were still all under 10 years old, my mom and dad moved here, to Norwich, in the early 1970's :) they've lived here, ever since, and in the 1980's, had 2 more kids, me and my sister Jenn :) It's a very special and wonderful love, my mom and dad share :) 50 years of marriage, celebrating today. :) my mom and dad, are amazing people wonderful parents, who we are so very blessed, and thankful, to have in our lives :) they have done so much for us, over the years, and continue too, to this day :) Whether it's a favor, or guidance, my mom and dad, are always there :) we appreciate them, with all of the love of our hearts :) THANK YOU MOM AND DAD! :) WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! :) To be able to celebrate such a joyful day today, 50th anniversary for my mom and dad, it's very extremely special to us :)
To Celebrate today, we went out, for a wonderful lunch :) my mom and dad, and us all, were so happy and excited, about this very nice lunch celebration :) shortly after 12pm, we went over to the Chinese restaurant/buffet, where we went back in 2007, and 2008, to have some dinners there :) We were all so excited, my sister Jenn, Mike, and Mikey met us there :) my niece Alyssa, the triplets, and my sister Lisa and i, plus my mom and dad :) We arrived at the restaurant, and my mom said, "this is a very nice gift to us, you all coming to have lunch with us" :) awww! :) BIG SMILES! :) i did really well, when we went into the restaurant :) i stayed close with my mom, dad, and sister Lisa, as we walked in, we had reservations :) They had a nice table area for us, in the back of the restaurant area, where all of the food tables areas are :) very nice! :) We took our seats, my sister Jenn, Mike, and Mikey surprised my mom and dad, with a huge beautiful framed picture of them, from their wedding day! :) Aww! :) my mom and dad love their gift! :) the waitress took our orders for the drinks, i got a nice iced water :)
We then went up to get our food :) they got lots and lots of yummy foods there :) even soups too! :) it wasn't too busy at the restaurant, it was nice, layed back, and relaxing :) We all dished up, i got all of my favorites, including the honey glazed BBQ chicken, and the cream cheese wontons :) oh yeah!!! :) We took our seats, and began to enjoy the meal :) the triplets, and Mikey were eating lots! :) we mentioned about how we wanted to get a couple extra dishes, for Kayla and Taylynn, for when they got home from school today :) the food, was so amazing, and really delicious! :) oh wow! :) we were all so happy, enjoying the delicious meal :) The restaurant is incredible! :) They always give such nice service, and are really nice, polite, and made us feel like we were right at home :) We were at the restaurant, for a good hour :) They gave us some fortune cookies, and we were all hanging out :) i did so well inside of the restaurant, it went great, i'm so proud, plus being there with my mom, dad, and family, it's extremely special to me :) my niece Alyssa brought the nice 2-tier cakes, she baked for my mom and dad, to restaurant :) We were all pretty full, from the meal, so we decided to bring home the cake :)We thanked everyone at the restaurant, it was so nice! :) my sister Lisa paid for us all! :) WOW! :) So cool, and very generous of her :)

my mom and dad, and us all, thank our dear, and lovely friends Lucy (JoyHoly), Cathia, and their family, for this wonderful box of whitman's chocolates they got for my mom and dad, for their anniversary :) my mom and dad are going to share the chocolates :) whitman's chocolates are their favorite! :)
my mom and dad love their lottery tickets wreathe, i taped together, in shape of a 5 and 0 :) We're so happy and excited, enjoying a beautiful day, celebrating my mom's and dad's, 50th anniversary :) my mom and dad won $10 so far! :) they still have 9 tickets to scratch :)

Busy day for me today Chris with the run to Walmart for some things for the month. It was really too much on me today but it needed to be done. i\'m pretty tired tonight so I\'m just gonna lay low and watch some stupid TV. I had a nice roasted garlic and quinoa burger for dinner that I picked up at Walmart today. I also had a can of green beans and some roasted red peppers with the burger. dinner was very simple and delicious for me

What a great journal Chris, and I so enjoyed looking at the photos....made everything so real! What a good looking couple they are!! Got a real sense of the journey they have made seeing the pictures, and reminded me of my journey too...The cake is absolutely gorgeous...what a wonderful idea to fill the glasses with Rose petals, and how clever is Alyssa to make it!
