It's an amazing holiday, as we celebrate America's birthday :) it's a day of wholesome heart warming traditions, festivities, and celebrations :) From the wonderful BBQ cookouts, to the cooking, baking, grilling, and gearing up, for the 4th of July fireworks shows that will light up the skies tonight! :) America the beautiful, we love it! :) it's a really sweet day! :) my family and i are having a wonderful time, hearing from you, hearing about your 4th of July festivities, and celebrations :) i've been sending out, and recieving ecards, hugs, messages, texts :) it's a day, filled with heart-warming joy, celebrating the 4th of July :) This evening, we're cooking some hotdogs on the george foreman grill, and gonna have some coleslaw, and nice cake :) mmm mmm! :) the 4th of July is filled with lots of amazing delicious foods :) i wish we all could gather, in a HUGE picnic area, to have a wonderful picnic BBQ together :) as we celebrate this very special day, the heart-felt joy, our spirits feel, the excitement, of summer time, and special quality times shared, with family and friends :) We are so very extremely happy, thankful, and blessed, to have you and your family's in our lives, and to have the amazing opportunity, to celebrate with you all :)
The 4th of July, is rocking and rolling! :) we hope everyone is enjoying all of their favorite foods, snacks, desserts, and drinks today :) We're enjoying the spirit of the day :) i'm so excited, as the 4th of July arrives, summer season is in full swing :) Each year, we love to have a very special, Patriotic, 4th of July themed baking friday adventure :) We bake an American flag cake :) it's a tradition, that began in summer of 2008, and every year since, we've baked this very special cake :) my family and i have been hanging out today :) i put lots and lots of goodies around our yard, this morning, for our wonderful nature animal friends :) we love to give them extra goodies, and treats, during the 4th of July :) we do have some rain and winds, in our forecast today, but we got plenty of sunshine in our hearts, and have been enjoying the day to the fullest :)
i've been having lots of fun, gathering our 4th of July decorations, plates, napkins, and my 4th of july red, white, and blue hat :) We have a very special happy 4th of July thank you, for my dear, and lovely mom, and dad :) They went to the grocery store yesterday, and picked up some awesome baking friday supplies :) we also have strawberries we used today, from our garden, for decorating our cake :) i had a cool time, decorating our kitchen, for our super fun adventure :) i love to do a big decorative display, for the 4th of July theme :) i decorated our kitchen, glowing with the colors of red, white, and blue :) i love to bring out all of our nice baking friday supplies too, our aprons, oven mits, kitchen towels, and lots more. :) We get lots of nice use, from our baking friday supplies :) Jenn and Mikey had a busy afternoon, and didn't make it over for baking friday, but Kayla, Taylynn, and i got the baking friday adventure going, around 3pm :) before we baked, i called our dear friend Holly :) She and i are watching the fireworks shows on tv tonight. :) i said, "i'll be having some foods, cake, and calling you tonight, the 4th of July party is on!" :) awww! :)
We began our super fun baking friday adventure! :) my mom and dad joined us in the kitchen a bit today :) it was first, just Kayla and i, baking, and Taylynn was resting in her room, but joined in on the baking friday fun too :) We missed little Mikey today, but he will definitely join in on some upcoming baking friday's :) Kayla picked out the best 2 eggs ever, as we were preparing the vanilla cake :) it's one of our favorite treats :) i got the frozen strawberries, from our garden, and was preparing the strawberries, slicing the strawberries :) We super stirred the cake mix, and i used butter, to grease the baking pan :) We then added the cake mix into the pan, and i put the cake into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) oh my! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) We baking a delicious cake! :)
As the cake was baking, we set up all of our nice items, for decorating the cake :) Strawberries, Blueberries, and cool whip topping :)we were hanging out, enjoying a nice talk :) next friday, we're going to be having a special happy birthday themed baking friday adventure, for Kayla Lisa, for their upcoming birthday's :) it's gonna be so nice :) the cake finished baking, i brought it out of the oven to cool down :) We took a break for a little while, we were checking out the weather channel/news. once the cake had finished cooling down, it was time to decorate! :) We love decorating :) We first spread the cool whip topping, on the cake :) we then used blueberries, to make the stars, and the strawberries, to make the stripes on the American flag cake :) it came out great! :) we were showing my mom and dad the cake :) We love this nice cake, i'm gonna have a slice of cake this evening :)
