Hangovers
Yesterday was as lazy as days can get at the grand house. Even the clouds were too lazy to stay in the sky. Their rhythms on the window panes provided a lullabye that knocked out the 5 year old energy generator we call, "Grand Son." GD was already napping when GS gave in to the rany lullabye. After her mega-nap, little sister didn't start campaigning to go to the honey barn until she was tired enough to be dreaming more than wanting.
The next big ticket item on the family calendar is Little Sister's birthday. This year little sister gets a little sister for her birthday. The first two siblings were born cesarian. The parents are currently awaiting word from the hospital on when the third child will receive her cesarian. The current speculation is Jan 7 or 8. If the surgery is scheculed for the 7th, it will be a trifecta for the maternal branch of the family tree. The other grandmother also has her birthday on the 7th.
The fate of the second little sister remains even more vague than the fate of her parents. God, please grant me patience. NOW, GODDAMIT!!! Prayer gives me something to do when there is nothing I can do. Got my grounding talisman in my pants pocket. . . Breathing. . .
Today's hope is to paint the box room of the honey barn. It is already in lightweight service to store, sort and service the boxes which make up the bee hives. Storage rooms seem to fill first here in the 21st century. The box room used to be the milking bay of the dairy barn. The GKs have been using the rough concrete patio outside its two-cow-sized sliding aluminum door for a circular speedway with the fire pit as the center of the traffic circle. Zoom zoom. In classic GK irony, the rejected ride toy we pulled out of the trash dump on the back 40 has out-classed the brand new ride toy that came from under the Christmas tree. We pulled the toy and a few smaller rejects out of the trash dump on Christmas Eve. They are new to the GKs.
