Handy Man
I am tired. A handy man I am NOT. I get the proof every once and a while. Yesterday, I got some proof. Vickie's bringing me her old TV. It's a big 27" one! Well, my TV stand barely holds my little 21" so it would be too weak to hold the new one. Sooooo, I went to Walmart and found a new stand that will hold 95 pounds,,,a corner model. Buuuuuut, you have to put it together. Simple enough. Right? For most people yes. For me NO. What should have been an hour's work or less, turned into an all day affair. Would have taken longer, but I remembered I had an electric screwdriver. Right. Problem? Gotta charge it up. This was after I'd already started. Let it charge for an hour. That gave me about 4 screws. So it took a while. Meanwhile, I've got all the pieces spread out all over the living room. No room for Foxy. She didn't know where to go. But she was patient. It looks pretty good. I didn't really need the back or the 2 doors. Left them off out of frustration. It holds all my DVDs and tapes. Takes up less space than the old stand. It's prettier. But my right arm is so sore!! One of these days, I'm going to realize that all I can do is drive a nail,,,,,,if I'm careful.
