Half way there!

I started this goal November 3rd, and am now just over half way there.  That's really exciting, I never thought I would even make it this far.  10 more days until I reach my goal!!!  One day at a time, just take it one day at a time.
One thing I have noticed, I haven't been spending nearly the time I was playing on the computer.  Maybe that's the answer for me, not lounging for hours at a time with idle hands.  Sorry Facebook.  Who knows, hope I can keep this going.  So far so good :)

GREAT JOB!!! That is so exciting - after seeing everyone\'s goals on here, I changed mine to 30 days PF so I could actually track it. Thanks for your inspiration! P.S. Started NAC today - interested to see how that goes.

Thanks!!! Doing the 30 day thing is a really good idea. If I make it through this goal I\'ll do that too :) Keep me posted on how the NAC works for you! I\'ve seen a lot of people mentioning that on here. What can you tell me about it??

I just googled it after I saw it on here - it\'s just an antioxidant amino acid supplement that\'s got several uses. You can get it at a health food store. There was recently a clinical trial done at the University of Minnesota done and found very promising results with NAC controlling the impulse to pull. Of course it doesn\'t solve the deeper issues that are triggers for a lot of us or the shame that goes along with the word \"trichotillomania\"! But, I think it\'s a huge breakthrough. They do suggest also taking Vitamin C supplements and selenium too to help absorption and prevent kidney stones. I am taking 600mg of NAC, 500mg of Vitamin C and my regular multivitamin, all 2 times a day. I\'ll keep you posted!

I kept thinking it was a prescription drug. Interesting, I think I might look in to this myself. It will be something I\'ll need to talk to my doctor about to see if it\'s safe to take when trying to get pregnant (my husband and I have been trying). Thanks for letting me know. I hope it helps you!!!

I think I read something that it was safe because it doesn\'t cross the membrane....but yes, obviously check with the doctor :) Good luck with trying to get prenant - I know that can be a frustrating journey sometimes. My good friend struggled for about 4 years to have a baby and then they finally got pregnant with twins and then when the twins were about 4 months old, she got pregnant again when they WEREN\'T trying - without the help of anything!
