Haitian Charity

The following is a link to a local charity for supplies to Haiti: www.shoes2share.com Tim and Ronda Wampler are personal friends of mine who adopted children out of Haiti several years ago.  They went through a lot to get these kids out of the country and decided to try and help the people there and the orphanage where their 2 kids came from.  So they began their own charity to supply shoes to Haiti and 8 other countries. Tim is now working with a friend at the American Red Cross to make arrangements to ship supplies to Haiti.  Shoes2Share has collection boxes in PA, NJ and DE.   Tim helped me through the difficulties of our adoption of my son, and I would hope that I was able to help him through his difficulties as well.  His 2 children still have not heard if any of their biological siblings or their biological father are still alive.   I am just helping him spread the word.  If all you can give is prayers, they are also appreciated.

Thanks Yvette! I\'m going to also post this link which has been circulating on Facebook as well. Also, a friend of mine (who has been a long time Red Cross volunteer) is trying to organize a benefit concert in DE City. I\'ll let you know the details when I have them!

Here is a link to an organization in Haiti that houses about 60 children who need food, formula and other necessities as well.

Yes, thanks for the info. Miss ya and got your info, will email ya but hoping to get on DS more. Hope work and family are doing great and making it to the Y :-) So sad of the situation, fingers crossed. I\'m doing good, keeping busy with running and normal life. Very happy so it\'s a start, think I\'m finally finding the happy medium. Signing up for the half marathon I think really helped get things in order as far as eating and exercising. I still think I\'m nuts but I know I can do it. Have a great weekend and will get on this weekend to catch up more. Miss ya and only wish you, your family and friends the best! Oh, still at same house but still looking. Waiting to hear on insurance items but for the most part all taken care of except doing tile in kitchen, husband and I are trying to clean out basement so we can paint walls and floor and then re-organize so we can sell this spring or earlier. Love to move to Indiana very soon. Fingers Crossed, found a lovely 5 acre cedar house, all wooded land. LaPorte, IN. I would love to move, can\'t wait. Some day! Talk to you soon. Kathy
