Had a lovely day with hubby

Yesterday was a lovely day with Jeff. We went to the gym together and had a little work out, not too long, just for a bit. I'm usually very gentle on my self when I go to the gym. I don't want to upset my old back injury and I don't want to cause a fibro flare either. But the 1st time I went about a month and a half ago, I could barely tolerate it, my muscles were burning with pain. It's gotten a little better now. Anyway, I love going to the gym with him. Afterward, we went to the beach for a little swim in the sun. In the evening, we went out to dinner at a nice cozy Italian place called Zia's. It was our 1st time there. The food was yummy! The previous Saturday we did a short hike out to a waterfall. I love having romantic Saturdays with my husband! I wish we could continue this trend.
But this coming Saturday we will fly out to Norfolk, VA. That's where Jeff's family is from. We will be doing some traveling around in VA and then on June 3rd fly out Dayton, OH to see mom and my brothers. I'll becoming back to Hawaii June 8th. But Jeff will be going back to VA for a few more weeks. I'm nervous about going because every time I travel long distance I usually get very sick. Either with severe ibs and indigestion, or bronchitis and exacerbated asthma. I'm praying to God that I'll be ok this time. I have successfully weaned off metaclopramide. The doc Rx-ed that medication to me because in 2013 I was dx with gastroperisis. She said a lot of her fibro patients get it and it comes in seasons. Well, mine was a really LONG season! The 1st 6 months or so I could only eat soups and no animal meats (vegetarian) because it was too harsh on my stomach. And I couldn't eat any raw fruits or veggies, they had to be cooked (basically canned). It was much easier to digest. It certainly took the fun out of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Plus For like a year and a half I could only eat very small portions of food or I would get nauseous or feel too full. Anyway, I'm finally over that nightmare and have weaned off the medication. It took a little over a month to do and the help of magnesium supplements (which I will continue to take daily) and I"m so glad to be past this! YAAAAYYYYYY!
Btw, I successfully talked my sister in law (the one that left my brother in OH) to come back to OH and visit when I come to Dayton. She will be bringing the baby with her. Everyone is soooo happy (including me)! Let's hope she actually goes through with it and doesn't change her mind at the last minute (like she tends to do)!!

Anyway, I'm so glad things are looking up at the moment. Take care and God bless!

Sounds like you have a fun vacation planned and hope your trip home will be just great with no problems.

I been taking magnesium also IF i remember to take it. I use to take several supplements including CQ10 and others, then I got out of the habit of taking them. I have no excuse I dont what happened, maybe consumed with other problems or fibro fighting. Amazing how we get IBS and GERD and all the other problems and they are magnified, thats fibro for you.

Enjoy your vacation and your family. Dont worry about your trip back home,. it will be smooth flying.

I really hope so. Last several times I went to VA or OH I got so sick it took months to recover. It was horrible. Couldn\'t eat right or sleep right and was so fatigued.
