Had a Life Changing Moment!!!
Last week at my phlebotomy I didn't feel sick, I didn't feel bad, I didn't come anywhere near passing out- And the only painful parts were the needle entry and exit! I know my phobia can come back at anytime, or so I've been told- But this was GREAT! I hope this Friday to repeat my success!!!! I think that was phlebotomy 6 or 7

Great news Strype, I hope they continue to get better, Next time you go get a shot of Lidocaine and the pain of the big needle will be none. The lidocaine needle is so small compared to the phleb needle you will not be scared, I had a phobia also and it did go away, The lidocaine helps a lot. Are you being phlebbed weekly?
My problem is I only have \'one good vein\'. This past week I was stuck four times before it was a success. They say my veins shrink up and roll. Everyone wants to use the same vein over and over and i\'m told that it will scar and not be of good use after a time. Needless to say, this makes me anxious! With my usual phlebotomist, she uses a spray before she inserts the needle. Using a size 18 and I still don\'t feel a thing:)
