Had a great day today!

I got a good night's sleep last night, 12 hours with a bit of waking between but good. I woke up and thought it was going to be a bad day since it took me an hour to get out of bed, but ended up being a great day. Today the clinic had it's big health fair, so I went there and volunteered there for 3 hours. I also got a bunch of free food, water and baked Lay's. I'm over my calories for the day since I ate a donut as well, but oh well. I did a bunch of walking around the clinic, as well as walking to and from the clinic so I did a good amount of walking. I drank a ton of water since I was sweating a lot. I sweat more than a normal person, and it's hard when you have to walk everywhere and end up coming into work sweaty. Oh well, I shouldn't complain, I do get to exercise, so that's good.
I'm feeling great. When I woke up I was a bit lethargic, but had a coffee and felt better. I had another coffee at the health fair and that was all I needed to get me going for the day. I got to help out at the fair, so that's good too. I was needed to do translation to Spanish and hand out registration forms. I feel good that I was needed and appreciated. It makes me feel better knowing that people need my help, makes me feel useful. I know I could use that boost of confidence after last week and my mood crashing and ending up in the clinic. Plus I got a bunch of great comments on yesterday's journal... for those of you who read these novels it's appreciated much that you comment and let me know how I'm doing. I'm glad I have my DS people watching my back and cheering me on.
The health fair went well... I handed out the forms and got called on for translation a couple times. The girls I was sitting with were kinda killing my good mood, since they were good friends and I didn't know them so they were just talking to each other and ignoring me. I just brushed it off, which I can do on a good day, and let them talk to each other for the most part. I did talk to them a bit, but not too much since I didn't want to seem like I was imposing on them. I got my cholesterol and glucose checked, and both were well into the good range. My finger still hurts from where they poked me, though. The only things that were off were my BMI (morbidly obese) and my HDL (good) cholesterol. They said I need to eat more Omega 3 Fatty Acids to raise my good cholesterol, but that's the only thing they told me to do. I'm already eating right and exercising to lower my weight and it's showing in my blood work, so that's good. I like knowing that I can eat a hamburger and get my cholesterol checked and it's on the low side, and eat a donut and have good glucose levels. I got the tests done like an hour after I ate and so the stuff from the food was in my blood already. The hamburger was super low fat, but the donut was just a regular old Dunkin Donut.
I went over my calories today with that donut, but I'm still okay with it. I know tomorrow when I weigh in I'm going to be up in weight from last week because of the hospital and the couple of days of indulgence, but I'm only 100 calories above where I should be, so that's not bad at all. I'm going to go for a jog/walk tomorrow to try and burn some of this stuff off and hopefully start burning off these calories! My stress level was nonexistent today I was feeling so good (but it doesn't feel like mania to me, and I got 12 hours of sleep last night which normally means not hypomanic) and so overall I'm doing great!
