Had a good laugh ... of course!

So the real estate agent left a message that he has listed the house after talking with the Lord of the Flies. First message said that someone wants to see it TOMORROW. I didn't call back right away; I kept thinking, it'll be "bright and early" at 9a.m. or some such.
There are boxes all over the house ... things which need cleaned, things needing cleaning and packing, and so on. Repairs. Paint here and there. Thanks to the recent burned out feelings, I haven't had the "something" to get up and do what needs doing (although I get most of the "absolutely necessary" done). If I do get started, say separating things into stacks, one of the cats inevitably jumps on top and throws everything to the floor.
I really don't want to have to stay up all night long, desperately cleaning (and knowing that I can hardly make a huge dent in everything) so someone can come through, look around and never be heard from again. I want the house sold and to have MY life back. One in which, if I screw up, consequences may hurt, but this being hostage to a destructive maniac who expects everyone to drop everything and rearrange their universe at his whim or tantrum ... as far as I am concerned, he can have "treble damages" where consequences are concerned. And let him know why, please.
So I decided to wait on calling back, not wanting to get all mealy mouthed or anything. The realtor left another message stating it would be Friday evening. Fine. I'll kill myself for two days, be up all Fri. night and Saturday morning and then, hopefully crash but not sleep through the weekend. I called him to confirm and also ask for a copy of the contract, since I apparently am not "allowed" to  be in on the marketing aspects, only the grunt work. He said he'd do so, though he sounded a bit unsure.
Yes, I know the Lord of the Flies probably made it clear that the kingdom is "his", but it's not. Now that I know what a fraud he IS, WAS and will continue being, I am thinking of any ways I can get things done. If any of it "messes him up" that'll be too bad. Not that I would or will do so deliberately, but I am not going out of my way for a parasitic guy who can't stand on his own two feet and has to get another person to TAKE CARE OF HIM before he can start really destroying the one he's sucked dry and robbed.
So anyway, I asked the realtor what the house was listed at, after we discussed a few other matters. He told me $145 (appraised value). I had talked about some things like a carpet allowance (they are thrashed) and I know some things, like closing costs, etc can help to sell. Main reason, too, I wanted to see that contract. There were no pix taken, and he didn't say anything about taking any, so have a feeling there's not going to be a whole lot of active marketing going on. Maybe I'm wrong; regardless, I can ask about that and the other ideas, and also find out how long the listing is for. I know the house is unlikely to go for the full price, so I'm also wondering if they discussed a range that is acceptable. I had to laugh, though because when I asked about the price, he told me Fly-boy told him "that's what the judge said". Almost had me bursting into audible peals of laughter, as I was at the hearing and I did read the decree ... it doesn't say ONE WORD about the pricing of the house, merely allocates the proceeds and states the realtor must be "mutually acceptable". I suppose I'll have to see the contract and marketing plan before I can really know whether he is.
Taking a break to eat, then back to work for a while. Or as long as I can take it. Yippee-kai-yay!

What a hassle. My \"wonderful\" ex got EVERYTHING! However, I got half of the pension so my ex will not be able to retire any time soon, which my ex could have done were my ex not to have got the divorce wanted. Unforeseen consequences! When I told my ex that I would get half of the pension and none from me, the response was, \"You will NEVER get a penny from me!\" Well, I got it and it helps me a lot to live here in Viet Nam when there is no work. I am doing VERY well: physically, mentally, emotionally and professionally. I am HAPPY now, more than I was in the marriage.

Anyse, I am glad that worked out for you! I know they say \"what goes around\" and etc, but either I have been a very bad girl in past and never appreciated how bad ... or ... there is more than meets the eye. In our previous divorce, I took precious little. He took everything else and I was ignored when I mounted complaint, mostly because I don\'t speak legalese. And though I really don\'t wish for bad things for people, I\'m almost sorry I took him to the hospital when he had his heart attack. He is the most destructive thing that has ever been in my life. A drug habit wouldn\'t be as bad ...
