H O L Y C R A P !!!! (long entry)

THE LAST FEW DAYS HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY INSANE!!! wednesday... i woke up thinkin it's just another day... not much goin on... just gonna get my safety inpection done, probably have to get a realignment and replace the tires since it slightly pulls to the left. no big deal, right? WRONG! i take it to a midas cuz i was in the area at the time and my friend said they do realignments. i come back to the shop about an hr later and the mech comes out with this long list and says to me "uhh... you got way bigger problems than a realignment issue. that's the least of your worries right now. if you wanna get your car to pass the safety inspection, you're gonna have to fix all the following 1st." he then goes over each problem with me telling me what they found and the specifics to what needs to be done. then he shows me the total cost of repair and it's $2,900 +!!!! so i ask him if ALL of it has to be fixed just to pass inspection and he said yes. forget it! my car's worth maybe only half of that! so i took my keys and left.  took my car to the shop near my house who is trust worthy and showed them the list that the other shop printed out. left it with them then walked to the beach across the street. came back about an hr 1/2 later and they pretty much confirmed that my car is screwed. so it pretty much boils down to i either sink $3,000 into this old car or get a new vehicle to sink money into. i decided to go home to think about it. when i got home i figured i should go look at new cars just incase. i go drive to a dodge dealership and decide to look at 08 trucks, since they are getting rid of em to make room for 09 cars. I ENDED UP STAYING AT THE DEALERSHIP TILL 10PM!!! i called my bro to ask him if i should trade in my convertable or sign it over to him to pay for fixes. he told me that we all love the car too much so don't get rid of it. so i bought the truck and drove home a brand new 08 Dodge RAM. i got the simplest form they had with the most basic function.  when i got home mom asked me how i decided to buy this. i told her: 1, i can't fix cars anymore cuz my body is broken. i an't do any work on any car now and in the future. if i get a used car i don't know who did what to it. 2, this truck came with a LIFE TIME warranty on EVERY SINGLE thing on it and i whatever breaks will be covered both parts and labor. 3, my old car isn't gonna be fixed soon enough for me to drive and i need a car and WE need a truck. so i asked her "am i stupid for doing this? am i gonna hang my self in the morning?" she said no. but all 3 of us were in shock about the whole day. thursday... i get up early to get ready to head out to the bank to see if i can get a better deal for the truck loan, since in the past they always shined thru. but when i get there, it turns out they don't offer a better deal. next on my schedule was to go to the Dole Cannery ball room to have lunch with a bunch of congresman and Hawaii's 2 senators, Sen Akaka and Sen Ianoe (who got his arm blown off in WWII and received the Medal of Honor), and a bunch of reps form different Veteran's Orginazations. then to drive all the way to N5 where i used to work for their halloween party. so i put my costume in the truck with all my other stuff and figured i would change after leaving the Dole cannery. but as i'm heading down the road to down town, my phone rings and it's the dealership. they told me they found another bank that would redo my loan to get me a better deal. so i told them to make an appt with me for 4pm. that just means i gotta drive to down town, then drive up to the valley for N5, then drive all the way back down to the dealership by 4pm!! HOLY SHIT! i hope nothin else happens that makes things crazier! i get to Dole Cannery where Matthew is waiting to join me with the politicians and he can't believe his eyes when he sees the truck! he runs over to it and marvels at all of it and tells me he LOVES it and is SO jealeous! i'm like "ok, you have a toyota tacoma! and your truck is so nice, how's mine nice??" eithr way he loves my truck better.  when i get inside, the guy from the American Legion greets me and says i will be sitting at the table with some BIG guys! i will be sitting with congresmen and he told me to make friends with them and try to exchange information. he said tht it will help me get connections for anyone i need for my FMS group. and THEN he brings the reired MD, the MEDICINE MAN that will be helping my group, over to me and introduces him to me. "Doctor Nikkins!! So nice to finally meet you!!" THEN congresmen start showing up and my head is spinning right and left as people are introducing me and they are making there greetings to every table. THEN Sen Akaka shows up and starts going from table to table and since we are table number 1 ours is always 1st. so he shakes my hand, hugs me and kisses my forehead! i was like "WOW! SEN AKAKA JUST KISSED MY FOREHEAD! THIS IS NUTS!" matthew was just grinning ear to ear with excitement and of course being active duty Marine, they all wanted to talk to him too. one congresman sat to my R and MAtthew sat to my L, and a congresman sat to his L. the one next to Matthew was a real young one and spunky. he looked like he was in his 30s and just acted like a young joyus guy, crackin jokes at everything and anything. him and Matth hit it off and were giggling about things here and there while the congresman to my R struck up a conversation about all kinds of things with me. COME TO FIND OUT, THIS GUY HAS HIS OWN ORGINIZATION FOR FMS, TOO, BUT FOR CIVILIANS!! so we both get all excited and he's all askin me questions about treatments and says we need to compare notes! he gives me his business card with email and tells me to email him with title "fibromyalgia" and he will know who it is and stuff. he says he will forward me all his contacts about FMS and everything they know and we will just keep sharing notes!!i couldn't beleive it!! this is just so crazy! mean while everyone there kept assuming Matt and i were either engaged or married. i didn't know what to make of it. Matt just went along with it. we were able to get pictures with both Senators and it was such an honor to meet Sen Ianoe. wow... you really gotta have respect for that man. he took a granade from his blown off arm and threw it at the enemy killing 8!  later when i finally got to N5 i was so late i missed the whole party. they asked me where i was and what happened, i just rolled my eyes and was like "oh my gosh!" i told em a short story of it and that Matt was there. everyone was so glad to see me and kept asking me all kinds of questions. but i had to hurry up and hit the road again to get back to the dealership. at the dealer ship, turns out i didn't have the right documents for the banker and thanks to the dealer guy he didn't mention anything about showing military documents. so she said we can't do the contract yet and have to reschedule for the next day. so today, i will have to go back down there and please pray everything goes alright! well that's my last ferw days in a nut shell and i hope it wasn't too much for you to take in. cuz i'm still in shock about the whole thing.
