Gustav Knocked On Our Door

Knock on wood we survived... I think.... yeah... my feet and my back still hurt... (wha wha).... so I'm alive.... The world is still turning.... Our power has been out for several days thanks to Gustav... and now there's several more hurricanes forming.... just what I don't want to hear... I'm wishing I could move into a cave.... after someone had removed the bears, snakes, bats, and whatever else might normally inhabit caves for me...  I can't begin to tell you how much I missed my lights and a/c... oh and the refrigerator/freezer.  How sad it made me to see my money thawing out and having to be thrown away...  I cooked all I could but lost all my frozen veggies etc... cest la vie...  Gustav did a number on our roof... I'm hoping we can get it reroofed quickly as I am concerned it could start leaking soon... we have a lot of shingle loss... so yall please cross your fingers and say a lot of prayers for all of us....

Oh Elissa I am so sorry. I know you live in New Orleans but I thought you lived on a hill safe from danger. Of course my prayers are with you and all in New Orleans. I cannot even begin to summon up humor for this. If there is anything I can do please let me know. Love ya, Kathy

I am so sorry you have to deal with Gustav. Glad that you faired as well as you did but wish you had been spared the damage and loss. Hope the next ones fizzle out. (((love you)))
