Guilt Attack
Still no word from CPS but I did get a business as usual request for living expenses from YS and his wife. I have been studying ignorance on their whereabouts after their eviction from their apartment. We have been paying their independent living expenses for most of the 7 years they been together and. . . Ouch. . . It is not a sustainable system. It was filthy housekeeping and domestic disturbances which caused their eviction, but Hubs and I have been feeling the pinch of paying their rent for the entire 3 years they lived there.
I s'pose I should have let "No" be a complete sentence, but am tenatively proud of having been able to keep the manic repetition to a minimum. Whether that tenative pride is warranted, or not, a simple no might have been less painful for both of us. We've been through all this. It is, after all, business as usual. Has been for years now. Can we try some new tricks now?
ES (Eldest Son) turned 39 yesterday. YS turns 35 next month. Time do fun when you are having fly. . .
My guilt demon is roaring. Plying therapy tools.

Guilt is such a sly creature and seems to know every little hole and crack to sneak into our minds even when it has no place and isn’t welcome. I’m repeatedly told I have an over developed sense of guilt, that I’ve always argued against as that it not guilt but that I just take full responsibility for my part. I just often neglect to admit I also take on the responsibilities for everyone else’s part as well.
It’s something I think we both need to be ‘plying therapy tools’ with. I’ve my own massive tool box but it’s lacking some truly effective tools. But if you ever run out of your own, I’m happy to share mine.
Hugs, support & love, Arfie!
I hate guilt I try to avoid it.
Guilt is not the gnarliest demon in my psychobaggage car these days, but when it hits, it hits hard. I still haven't found an effective tool that's easy, too, but I'm still shopping. For sure, quite allot of the therapy tools are more effective when shared. Isn't that the number one reason for support groups?
Hope the avoidance techniques work better for your guilt than they did for mine, Chris. Continued support while you find your way past.
Just here listening.
