Guilt and Worry

Yesterday we received a phone call from our dear friends who have been trying to conceive for over a year now. They called to let us know that they had a miscarriage on Friday, and that they were due exactly a week before us. My heart aches for them and I am at a loss. They were planning on telling everyone on Saturday. Not only am I so incredibly sad for them, I feel so guilty and scared. Scared because I was finally at a point where I was able to exhale and not worry about miscarriage. I feel guilty because I have been complaining about the morning sickness and the 24/7 nauseous feeling. Today, even though I want to puke by brains out, I am thankful, because I pray that this feeling means that our little bean is growing and healthy. I feel guilty, because I am going to be "that friend", whose pregnancy is going to be a constant reminder to our friends of "what could have been". After 7 years of infertility, I never thought that I would be in this position where I don't know what to say. I haven't talked to my friend, but were texting last night a little. She said they are shocked, and sad, but know that God has amazing plans for them. I am in awe of her, as I don't know if I would be at the place yet if I were in her shoes. I am afraid because the two of us are the only friends who have walked the infertility journey, and God had used me to help her thus far. I am so afraid that I too am going to lose this baby, and God will have us walk this journey together as well. I guess this is just a whole lot of rambling and a whole lot of venting. July 10 can't come soon enough do I can hopefully be reassured that baby is doing ok.

Just wanted to let you know I know exactly how you feel.... I wish I could give you a hug! I constantly feel guilty- my sister lost her baby at 21 weeks in 2011- and I hover over extreme guitl/sadness. I know she\'s happy for me but I know she\'s also sad. I will pray for you!
