Guests make for difficult dieting
Zack's friend, Dylan, is here visiting this week. He's a great kid, but of course, part of entertaining a guest is taking them out to nice meals. Trying to keep to my diet as much as possible, but I definitely have not been 100% - maybe not even 50%. I just have to keep it in my mind that I WILL go back 100% once he leaves on Monday. I know I can do this.
Aside from that, today was a GREAT day! So many great things happened. Mikey was finally processed at DDD, so services should start back soon. I also found a new therapy to try with him and purchased all the things we need to try it out. I just have to wait for them to arrive in the mail now. The kids went to Sky Zone and wore themselves out, which is REALLY saying something because they have more energy than I've ever seen in my life. Mikey enjoyed himself - lots of laughter, but like always when he leaves a fun place, he always says he doesn't want to go back. Zack actually took responsibility for Mikey at Sky Zone (this is the 1st time he's watched him outside of the house, other than fast food drive thrus), so I was able to go to Trader Joe's to buy vegetarian cheese for the fondue we're making tonight.
When I went to the liquor store to buy the Chardonnay for the fondue, I got carded (who doesn't love that at age 43???) My relationship with my sister got better, even though there's been tension over the last week - maybe just on my end, not sure, but I'm glad that we're back.
And finally, I got an email from the university I want to attend telling me that the math I took in college DOES qualify me for the computer science program. It doesn't mean I'm in yet. I won't find that out until May 7th, but it is a step in the right direction.
I love days like this. I feel so lucky that maybe I'll buy a lottery ticket tomorrow. :oD
