Grumbly Bumbly
It be a morn of many irritants. My support dog vomited several times last night and still seems under the weather this morning. I am speaking literally on the "under the weather" part. There are thunderstorms wandering across the Heartland this morning with heat rivaling the sunbelt summer. The motel I am currently sitting in has an internet connection reminiscant of the old dial-up connections I worked my first graphic designs across. Should I mention the clogged toilet which started my day. Grumble, grumble, bumble me humble. . . Sigh.
The good news is that it is all fair, present day grumble and the anxiety attack seems to be waning. Knock wood. Prayers in progress.
This morning finds me a bit east of Dayton, OH, about a 2 hour drive from Fort Recovery near the Indiana border. Fort Recovery sits in a headwater hook in the Wabash River. The lousy internet connection inhibits my access to the geophysical and more detailed road data this morning. The paper atlas I have with me is for highways with very limited data on terrain and back roads. Yup. One of those moments I could wish for GPS. I am not ready to compromise on the smart phone GPS, but the GPS of my dreams was approaching affordable the last time I looked. Perhaps one day soon?
