Grren Smiley Monday
Hi everyone, I am hoping everyone is having a reasonable day. I have been blessed that it seems my granddaughter Christina may carry her baby full term. Her due date is 2/9. Yay!
I also have other blessings. I ran into a woman that I had known from a gym we both belonged to a few years ago. The gym closed, but for a while we kept in touch. 1 day at the gym Priscilla seemed "off". I asked her what was wrong and she explained that it would've been her son Shawn's 26th birthday but 2 years ago he had committed suicide. My heart just broke for her. I had my son and I just hurt for her just imagining how horrible it must be to lose a child. She told me she had fears about where Shawn was. I explained that suicide is not a sin! That is it a symptom of serious mental illness/depression and that he is fine & at peace. I was late for work that day, (she was more worried about me being late than I was) & I explained that she clearly needed to talk for a bit. She told me of several comforting signs she did receive and I said, "just believe." and hugged her. She cried & we had several conversations after that. Well I hadn't seen her since Ed passed & when I told her on Saturday when I ran into her in a store she was very kind. She asked me to call her. I told her I thought of her when Ed passed because she had gone on living & was enjoying her 2 other kids & grandkids despite her loss & I remembered the signs she had shared that were comforting that God & Shawn sent her. She said, "But you were comforting me!" I said, "but then when i needed it your experience helped me."
I believe while God didn't take my son, he knows all & puts people into our lives to be His voice. I will call her and keep in touch & tell her about DS.
Thank you God for knowing what I need before I know it. Please tell Eddie I love him and please help my friends here heal. Please be with precious Barbara and keep her comfortable. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Hi Eddie, I love you and miss you. I'm doing OK day by day and as you used to say,"Baby steps mom, baby steps." xoxo Mom

I know what you mean.. when Jenn died and I wondered how to possibly get through this, I thought of a co-worker of mine whose daughter had died. Vernice has continued and grown and been happy. she had been a great example to me.
\"Thank you God for knowing what I need before I know it.\" Amen! I believe He\'s working in the background today to meet tomorrow\'s needs. Kind of like that saying...\"don\'t be afraid of Tomorrow...God is already there!\" (((Hugs)))
I am glad that Christina is doing well!
It is amazing how people come in to our lives when we need them.
Hugs, Marlene
Dearest Linda, God does place those who need each other together. I have no doubt the two of you will bring each other peace and comfort. Sometimes it is so obvious that you have been placed in each others paths for a reason. I hope your friend will join us here at FMO. Please let us know if she does decide to join so we can make her feel welcomed.Thank you for sharing this special story, With Much Love, Charlene
Our earthly angels is how I feel about your entry today. No coincidences and such grace when this happens. It\'s Feb. 1st so anytime now that for that little miracle and as Charlene mentioned do let us know if your friend decides to be here on FMO so that we can welcome her into the fold. Love to you sweet Linda and always to your wonderful son, Ed. XO Joanie
Linda, you are so right...I think God does place people in our lives for a reason. I know there is a reason for everything.....one day we will know. It is nice that you have each other to talk to and gain comfort from. I am so glad Christina is doing well. Can\'t wait to see pictures of the baby! Love & Hugs to you, Kim
Oh, that\'s a great story! And yes, you bet God puts other people in front of us to be His voice. He calls them angels. We\'ve run into many without knowing it, and may have even been one a time or two. I\'m so happy for you to have found her again.

Linda, I\'m so happy to see Christina is so close to her due date:) I know that takes a load off of everyones mind. I don\'t recall knowing anyone that lost a child. There was no one to relate to:(
Then I realized my very own mother knew that pain. My real mother had taken my little brother and when she left us many years ago. He killed himself just before his 21st birthday. She understood how I was feeling. It was comforting, just to know someone. And I didn\'t have a lot to do with her all my life. But we had that bond anyway. She said I helped her to, even so many years later, she had me to talk to. Heart to heart, Danette:)
Comforting.
Oh, what a blessing you ahve been to both ME and Barbara!! Pleae tell her to go to My Group.....\"Suicide Survivors...finding God in all of this\"...I try to put articles on there that help to understand depression and mental illness AND the way God fits into all of this tragedy. I hope it will help her as all that is posted on there has been a blessing to me. She reminds me of me when it first happened.....I was shattered and my faith was wavering but I never gave up and signs and miracles keep happening because we have a precious, merciful, loving, wonderful Father who loves our children more than we do.....and that is A LOT of LOVE!!! Love to you dear friend and encourager......dale, brandon\'s mom
I need to share something with you,,,,head trauma/ suicide...there is a dr that is studying the connection , they have found so much they need grants to study more, but this dr is trying very hard to get other dr.s, emt;s nurses, all health workers to take more time and have head trauma checked and watched for at least a year. If they did this,my Morgan might still be here. Nora
Encouraging each other is wonderful. No one knows like a mom who has been there. Love to you! Julie
Wonderful to hear this...love you sweet one...
