Grren Smiley Monday
Hi everyone, I am hoping everyone is having a reasonable day. I have been blessed that it seems my granddaughter Christina may carry her baby full term. Her due date is 2/9. Yay!
I also have other blessings. I ran into a woman that I had known from a gym we both belonged to a few years ago. The gym closed, but for a while we kept in touch. 1 day at the gym Priscilla seemed "off". I asked her what was wrong and she explained that it would've been her son Shawn's 26th birthday but 2 years ago he had committed suicide. My heart just broke for her. I had my son and I just hurt for her just imagining how horrible it must be to lose a child. She told me she had fears about where Shawn was. I explained that suicide is not a sin! That is it a symptom of serious mental illness/depression and that he is fine & at peace. I was late for work that day, (she was more worried about me being late than I was) & I explained that she clearly needed to talk for a bit. She told me of several comforting signs she did receive and I said, "just believe." and hugged her. She cried & we had several conversations after that. Well I hadn't seen her since Ed passed & when I told her on Saturday when I ran into her in a store she was very kind. She asked me to call her. I told her I thought of her when Ed passed because she had gone on living & was enjoying her 2 other kids & grandkids despite her loss & I remembered the signs she had shared that were comforting that God & Shawn sent her. She said, "But you were comforting me!" I said, "but then when i needed it your experience helped me."
I believe while God didn't take my son, he knows all & puts people into our lives to be His voice. I will call her and keep in touch & tell her about DS.
Thank you God for knowing what I need before I know it. Please tell Eddie I love him and please help my friends here heal. Please be with precious Barbara and keep her comfortable. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Hi Eddie, I love you and miss you. I'm doing OK day by day and as you used to say,"Baby steps mom, baby steps." xoxo Mom
