Growing Tired

I'm growing tired of the medical community.  They all want the same thing,,,tests.  Had one for my bladder,,,x-ray and ultrasound this morning.  There are respiratory tests tomorrow and ultrasounds on God knows what on Thursday.  Blood tests, blood gas tests, ultrasounds on various parts of the body, pressure tests on arms and legs, urine tests, breathing tests,,,all in the name of what?  They're running out of places to stick needles to get blood.  When does treatment begin?  And treatment doesn't necessarily mean cure.  The wound care center said my leg was cured twice and was wrong.  I'm learning the limits of oxygen.  The big machine gives me plenty at home, but the cylinders will limit me.  Each tank is good for only 3-4 hours.  It looks like that won't be enough.  For example, this morning, I left home at 8AM and got back at 11:30.  That's stretching it.  And some of the future tests will take longer.  I may be going through 4 tanks a week with the trips for groceries and meds.  One thing is good.  I have a nurse that comes by twice a week.  They take the blood for the weekly coumarin test.  That saves a trip to the hospital.  But, it won't last much longer.  The hospital docs ordered it for 2-3 weeks.  Well, its been nice.

Oh my, Mike -- as someone who has endured these past ten years, since the death of my beloved husband, in crisis of illness alone my heart just goes out to you. I hope you family is close and understanding so that they may apply the needed love to your life to give comfort and good support. Having no one here for me has been so much worse than I could have ever possibly imagined it would be under such circumstances. I had no idea we allowed those without any support of family, where they are alone with illness, to suffer to the place of causing a disabling illness to go from challenging to overwhelming to becoming deadly. With all the targeting that goes on by those seeking to exploit and harm someone in such a crisis the PTSD is severe enough where most of the time I become too worn out and numb to have to be fully aware of the terror of it all. If in a better place with all of this I would perhaps be allowed to see a bit of humor but this is not yet a better place to be and after ten years there is no longer an ability to continue to hold my breath.

Gentle ((hugs)) shared precious Mike -- and precious Kit

The world truly is one messed up placed where, collectively, humans are on the path of self-destruction from the overwhelming greed and indifference that is so pervasive any longer.
