Groceries and high prices

I just got back from grocery shopping. One of the small things I can do so my wife doesn't have to. I think I am going to have to become a vegitarian!!! Went to buy some chicken I used to pay 4 or 5 dollars for and now they want 9 dollars plus. What in the world are we going to do???? Everything just keeps going up and up except wages...... I guess we are just going to have to eat lots of pasta. They say it is not that good for you but what else can we afford?..... I can buy a piece of beef that will last just as long for a little more than that. I guess these chickens are laying golden eggs. lol
