I realized a lot of stuff about myself, and my past, once i started letting it all out on internet sites like this.
sometimes, one bad thing being revealed leads to other realizations, like some ball of string unwinding.
good luck.
I keep writing out my thoughts. Sometimes when something is bothering you it takes a while to get past all the social doodoo everyone is made to adhere to from home, school, and church; plus any other other programming most of us had to endure to keep us from causing trouble for someone else. It IS like a ball of string unwinding.. Some of the stuff meant to keep me in line was so stupid, I wonder now how I could have been so dumb.
Can I say more about journals? . / I once read some of \"Journaling Workshop,\" (Ira Progoff.) The book helped me see some of the potential of a journal for healing -- or just spiritual growing.
Progoff talks inspiringly about journaling..the first and about only really together, intelligent writing I\'ve seen about it. Important in this particular idea of journaling is the idea of group -- which allows one to get feed-back, if (s)he wants it, on his/her journal.
My first diary was read only by myself. Um, and I really like writing.... I can imagine being in a support group somewhere and not talking about myself as much as having journal writings to show others.
And reading over what others have written.
