Green Smiley 'Thursday'

I really could not bring myself to journal on Monday.  I didn't feel like I had anything to smile about.  I was visiting my brother who is in the hospital waiting while the doctors decide what the next step will be.  I had been away from home for over a month.  Joe went home for the last 3 weeks so I stayed with my dearest friend.  I felt guilty as she was driving me to and from the hospital and keeping my spirits up.  On Tuesday evening, I decided I had to go home - I'd had enough.  So I booked my ticket home for Thursday, today.  Yesterday afternoon, the decision was made to send Robert to a big city hospital for more tests and possibly vascular surgery.
My ticket was booked to come home so I am back in Calgary!  That is the green smiley part.  My niece will hopefully pick up where I left off advocating for Robert (he is a bachelor so we are it as far as family to assist him).  I may need to go back but hopefully not til after Easter.
I've been a basket case for the last few days - I think I scared my friends...  But now I am home and as close to happy as I can be - for now.  I enjoy the good times because I know it won't last.
