Green Smiley 'Thursday'

I really could not bring myself to journal on Monday.  I didn't feel like I had anything to smile about.  I was visiting my brother who is in the hospital waiting while the doctors decide what the next step will be.  I had been away from home for over a month.  Joe went home for the last 3 weeks so I stayed with my dearest friend.  I felt guilty as she was driving me to and from the hospital and keeping my spirits up.  On Tuesday evening, I decided I had to go home - I'd had enough.  So I booked my ticket home for Thursday, today.  Yesterday afternoon, the decision was made to send Robert to a big city hospital for more tests and possibly vascular surgery.
My ticket was booked to come home so I am back in Calgary!  That is the green smiley part.  My niece will hopefully pick up where I left off advocating for Robert (he is a bachelor so we are it as far as family to assist him).  I may need to go back but hopefully not til after Easter.
I've been a basket case for the last few days - I think I scared my friends...  But now I am home and as close to happy as I can be - for now.  I enjoy the good times because I know it won't last.
So Happy Green Thursday!

I agree Marlene, just be in the moment and grab whatever contentment you can. That\'s how I live my life now too. Continued prayers for Robert. Love and hugs, Linda

There\'s no place like home and it feels as if you have been advocating for your brother and now need to do that for yourself once again. I hope Robert continues to progress and it takes a village when caring for our loved ones. Sometimes we may have to \"comb the streets\" to come up with the village yet it is never only on our shoulders. You have done well my friend, now rest and thank you so much for the update as I had been wondering... Lots of love and put your feet up, okay?! XO Joanie

How true, there\'s no place like home! May you find the rest and peace you so deserve.

I too strive to fully enjoy the good times. I also endure the hard times because I know they will not last forever. Life is constant motion and ever changing emotions. It\'s all growth opportunities for our spiritual selves.

The \'basket case\' and scaring your friends... oh sister I can relate to that. I hope you can take some time to gather the little pieces back together. Sleep. Breathe. Feel all the stress... name it... let it be and if you can: let it go. SO much easier said than done, but at least breathing.
Peace and thank you for all,
Sarah
