Green Smiley Monday

Hi everyone, As most of you know my 18 year old granddaughter Christina is expecting her first child - Isabella. Her due date is 2/9/11 but Saturday we were at the hospital because while at work she began to have contractions. My green smiley is that she was not in active labor, saw her doctor today who said that the baby appears fine, but a little small as far as he can estimate from in utero. She would have been too early & we were all worried if the baby came Saturday that she would have difficulty. At the hospital the nurse explained that Christina was 35 and one half weeks along. She said they won't give meds to slow down the process at this point, but if she doesn't go into active labor its better because Isabella's lungs would not be fully developed at this point.
After 2 hours they let Christina go home cuz she wasn't in active labor or dilated & we all breathed a sigh of relief. So far so good. Everyday she stays in utero her lungs get stronger.
Thank you God! I don't want my family to go through any other heartache.
Hi Eddie,I'm so  sorry you can't be here on earth for Isabella's birth, but I know you are here just the same. I love you and will look out for your family, always. xoxo Mom

This is great news Linda...and I can\'t wait to see all the pics you are going to take of little Isabella. And prayers for Isabella to stay in utero a little longer! After Alex passed in May of 2007...little Evie was born in January...and as were driving out of the hospital parking lot I had a vision of Alex holding Evie confidently in his arms...he had only held a baby once or twice before in his life. It was so overwhelming to see this image...I believe he watches over Evie now. I bet Eddie will watch over little isabella. Love to you sweet Linda...Karen

This is indeed what green smiley Monday is all about! Yes, each day she can remain that little bun in the oven will be to her benefit. :) These babies are our healers and pure joy. May Christina, Isabella and each of you feel Eddie\'s watchful eye and loving spirit enfolding his precious family. Much love, Joanie

I agree this is a green smiley Monday. Jeff\'s 2 girls bring me more than joy that I can imagine possible. Even though they don\'t remember their dad, I always tell them little things about them that remind me of \"their\" dad. I know each day that Christina carries Isabella will help to make her stronger when she comes into this world and sees her proud Grandma and all the love that you have for her.
Much kindness and love.

Day by day. That\'s all this little bundle needs now. Just a few more days. Hope mother is resting, without nerves, and eating well. Each day Isabella stays inside is helping her grow stronger and bigger and more easy to take care of! So happy for you, love ya, abby

What a relief! My granddaughter was born a month early and spent the first 2 weeks in the neonatal intensive care. She is 14 now and incredibly healthy! But the closer to the due date, the better for the baby.
It is wonderful to be looking forward to a new life!

I\'m thinking of you and I know how much you wish your dear Eddie could be with you and his daughter now. In some very important ways, he is. Love to you, Linda J

Great news! I\'m sure Christina was scared, glad it turned out OK. I picture in my mind Eddie holding baby Isabella awaiting the perfect moment for her spirit to fully enter into her earth suit and into the loving arms of mommy and GRANDmommy! It may be whimsical way to look at it, but I think the babies are free to travel to and from their earth suits growing inside their mommys. I think they are free to spend time in paradise and time with mommy. To me, when I felt my babies moving around inside me, it was like them saying \"hi, I\'m here now\". Maybe silly, but I like thinking this way. All the best to Christina and prayers for a safe and as pain free delivery as possible. Love you sweet friend, Teri.
