Great weekend

Couldn't have asked for better weather, got a lot accomplished, socialized with friends, - it was a great weekend.  Enjoyed every minute of it.
Gosh this weather - again - so out of the ordinary.  All last year it rained and rained and rained from spring through "winter". What winter? And now - what spring?  It's been hot and very, very, very dry.  Funny - we're finally watering our lawn (need it so badly and it isn't even June yet) and today - it looks like rain - go figure.
Although our middle son lives here at home, we rarely see him so we feel like empty nesters. That will be changing in less than two weeks when T-Man comes home from school.  I am trying to be optimistic about it because it was hard having him here. He has never had a job and doesn't even have a driver's license.  Not that I'm anxious for him to be driving. He may be turning 21 but he's like a 15 year old (at least that is the way it has been).  Maybe he's matured a bit? All I know is that this last semester was a bomb. He dropped all but one class (one credit) and I know that part of the reason is because his schedule was impossible.  I cannot believe a college would offer a 7AM class. He also had an 8AM class and those days were filled with other classes. Long story on why he got stuck with a bad schedule but I geeze..... it would have been nice if he could  have had a successful semester.  Better yet - in recovery!!!
Last week I met with the detective and this week I meet with a church pastor whom I would like to help me with the community leader meeting to plan for a community forum. That said - I know they can't.  They're way too busy but I have to be careful on asking for their opinions because it would be awkward when I don't take their advice. The detective doesn't think I should include the elementary parents, like I originally had in mind. I agreed with him but now I don't because - 1. It's a community wide meeting and these parents need to know what's going on so that they can start talking about it now to their kids. So - I have to be careful.
