Great Sunday coming

I just heard a quote (didn't catch which football coach said it) and it went like this: "The greatest enemy to great, is good". Meaning you wont be great if you settle for good enough. So I guess you have to put something into the day for it to be a "great" day...and that's my plan today, I'm putting "me " into it and I'm doing GREAT.
Bad days behind for now and good days coming.
Going to go to the Portland Art Museum today and see a few paintings by Thomas Moran. One of which is a picture of Shoshone Falls. 6 foot by 11 foot. Should be pretty cool to see with my Mom (78 years young)
Getting the laundry done and had a funny scenario run through my mind. We only have two machines at the park where I live and sometimes the 8:00 (open time) foot race can be a challenge. So I imagined writing this, just for laughs. "The eight o'clock foot race was underway for the laundromat and I thought I had it in the bag with only one tenant ahead of me. It was looking good until he threw down the crutches and started pogoing on his one leg. A quick elbow to the ribs, plus a loaded laundry bag to the back of the head and my victory was assured.!"
Just had to get that out of my head or people were going to wonder what the hell I was smiling about all day. Maybe sick but just for laughs. Besides....I wouldn't have had to use the laundry bag...lol.
So I'm feeling in great spirits today. This only proves that there are UPs and DOWNs and when you are UP....Stay UP as long as you can....kinda like surfing. Which I haven't tried yet.
Smiling in the rain and making it a great day.
P.S. I hope no one took offense to the laundry thing, I only meant it for a laugh. If anything I would probably have carried the guys laundry and helped him load it before mine.
Just me.....and still smilling
