Great parade!
Had a great time at the parade yesterday! Caught plenty cabbage,potatoes,carrots,onions,garlic, oranges and lemons too! But they threw more beads than anything else. I was handed a pair of glass beads! Was surprised about it because they haven't thrown glass beads in ages! The float stopped in front of us for a few minutes and one of the riders was telling my husband about trying to bring back the tradition of glass beads. I told him that I could tell what I was getting before I even touched them! I guess you can say I was telling my age! LOL! So he gave me a second pair and now I will beable to give one pair to my daughter. They cost way more than the plastic one but are not supposed to be thrown but handed to you because they are heavier and if hit the ground will also break. So even though we didn't get quite as much throws as last time it was real nice getting the glass beads! I was real good at remembering to put sunscreen on all exposed limbs and the tops of my ears too! But guess what I forgot again! The part in my hair! LOL! And this morning as I was waking up I forgot about sunburn and scratched it! OOOOOW! LOL!My husband said the top of my head smells cooked! I don't feelit unless I touch it though! After we got home I went straight to cooking cabbage! I like to put bacon in it! YUM! And it was delicous! Had 2 bowls and hubby had at least three! Plan on having more tonight! I put most in freezer but couldn't resist leaving some in frig for tonight! I don't know how much hubby will want to take to work with him but if he wants all of what I left out then I will just have to defrost me some tonight! LOL! I had to take an Aleve last night and it did help a bunch, I hardly feel any affects from yesterdays activities. I hope all my friends have a great day!
