Grattitude

I have been thinking about all good things i have in life. Relationship, family, money, health, food, house, job. I have many things to be thankful for and i am able to have more happiness. I usually spent too much time thinking about what i want and don't have but those things are not in my present so they make me feel sad and anxious. I guess i should just keep working to make them happen, have hope but just appreciate all things i have now.

gratitude goes long way at breaking up depression....since I am in AA I do daily step 10 at the end of my day with my sponsor by text message him to answer some easy questions about my day....on mine it made me think...I best add some gratitudes to my tenth step so I wrote name five things your grateful for list your blessings and each night I try to add at least five of them to keep the depressive storm out of my life today....hugs

I am thankful I still have a job. I am thankful for my healthy little rescue mutt for companionship. I am thankful for my good health in spite of all I did to myself in the past. I am thankful I was able to buy a house last year. I am thankful for all of my friends here on D.S. There's five! My list could go on. You are so right. We need to focus on being thankful for what we have in our lives, not what we don't have. Concentrate on the 'haves', and the 'not haves' will happen if they are meant to.
