Gratitude, week 3

I find this easier to do a week at a time... Less cumbersome in the editing.
3/5/14: today I was grateful that my boss was in a good mood and admitted that I am good at something.  The last couple of years have been a steady downward slide at work, but I have not been in a position to look for new work. That is one of my goals for this year.....a healthy work environment.
3/6/14: tough day today. Had trouble sleeping last night, had a coworker aggravate the hell out of me, got home to find no one had done the grocery shopping or called me so I could on my way home.  So today I guess I am grateful that I have abed to not sleep well in, a job to go to so I can pay the bills, and people to come home to.  Not bad when you look at it that way. (Yes, these are some of my "fallbacks", but that's okay. I forgive myself.)
3/7/14: comfort food.  Today was bacon, tomorrow will be pizza.  Some days it's nachos, or brownies, or clam chowder....foods that make me feel GOOD.
3/9/14: I was so tired last night, I forgot to make a gratitude entry. See what happens when you help your kids move. Yesterday I was grateful for the Comcast service tech that came out to get the kids set up. He had an awful time, was there 4 hours, but was kind and patient and efficient. We fed him dinner, he was there so late! And, he could not even complete the job, so someone will have to come out today to finish. He told us he hopes he gets the call because we were so nice.
3/9/14: grief.  Yes, that may sound odd, but I am grateful to have loved (and been loved by) someone so much that their death pains me.  No, I did not have a bad day today. But I had a moment that crept on me where I was remembering Mark's last moments (again!) and tears came to my eyes.  It has been almost 11 months since Mark died, and I still miss him.  But it IS getting easier.  Who'da thunk?

3/10/14: silly facebook posts/surveys. Today, my brother posted WHAT DISNEYLAND RIDE ARE YOU?  So I took the quiz, and got SMALL WORLD!  This has always been nymph favorite and was Mark's as well.  Yes, even being a man, he admitted LOVING that ride.  Made me smile :)

3/11/14: pictures (photographs).  For Christmas this year, my daughter Amy gave me 4 frames filled with FAMILY.  I finally got them hung today and in the, there is history from Mark's and my dating days thru last July, when we went to an A's-Cubs game in his honor. All of our children, including their spouses, and all of our grandchildren are represented.  Even our cat is there.  Been smiling at these pictures all day.
