Gratitude
So, at the New Year, I set a goal of staying positive and recording weekly those things I am grateful for. Well I have not done either very well. It is funny, when I pray for patience or help staying positive, it seems something always challenges me at those times. And I get so frustrated. I know those are just opportunities to look at a situation differently. Last week i got tired making the bed! I just thought how my life sucked. My husband gave me a hug and reassured me. I cried a little, rested, and moved forward. Then the next day I felt good. I dusted, ran the sweeper, and cleaned the bathroom. My mom helped with the rest of the house. It is wierd, I know, but I enjoy cleaning. Most of the days since have been pretty good. I haven't felt hopeless. I love my job (even if it gets hard physically sometimes), I have a good husband, family to help me, and my faith. Those are things that I am grateful for. I also have been loving by being understanding of my husbands hectic schedule and giving him time to do those things he loves. I am practicing being less self focused.
