Grateful for my Blue Monday.

Blue Mondays stopped affecting me years ago, when I stopped working. But yesterday I had a great Blue Monday! On Sunday, after I visited Colleen's grave, I accidentally locked the keys in the car. We only discovered it on Monday morning, when my daughter was ready to take her little girl to school and go to work. Crisis! We lost the spare key about a year ago, and never thought about having a new key made. I felt very bad, because it was my fault the keys were locked in the car. I tried things I saw car thieves do in the movies on TV, but nothing worked. Melany was hysterical with laughter, and that was just what I needed! Then we started joking about the whole crisis, while enjoying some coffee. Two and a half hours later, a cop friend of Melany managed to get the car open and the day could go on.

Later I did the washing. We have an automatic washing machine. After about an hour, I went to check on the washing, and found the whole bathroom floor flooded with water! I forgot to put the outlet pipe in the bath! I was so disgusted with myself! So I sent Melany an sms, and she quickly turned it into a joke. Again we had a good laugh about it.

Doing stupid things come naturally for me. But If God hadn't given me such wonderful children, I would never have survived! After having such a fun filled Blue Monday, I feel much better today!

My friends here on DS are my only support system, apart from my 2 older children. Thank you so much, everyone, for understanding and taking my hand on this very difficult journey!! Just knowing that I'm not alone, gives me the strength to get through each day!

Being able to laugh at ourselves.....in those \"crisis\" situations.....surely is a gift! I\'m glad you had a good laugh. It\'s really true, laughter is the best medicine!

To be able to laugh is such a gift and most especially at ourselves. I remember reading a quote about not taking oneself too seriously because no one else does. That about sums it up for me in so many ways.

Grateful everything got figured out and hope the floor is mopped up too now.

I hear you on the support and know that FMO is a lifeline for me and so happy that you feel it is for you as well.

Have a gentle, \"uneventful\" day with some laughter sprinkled throughout.

Heartfelt hugs to your precious Colleen and to you.

I suspect there isn\'t a human being on earth who hasn\'t had a \"stupid\" day from time to time. It\'s part of what makes us human. Laughing at our mistakes, our self, and the situation is the best way to deal with it all. I\'m glad you had a happy day even with the \"oopps\" that happened. Do take care of yourself, and do smile and laugh at every opportunity presented.
Hugs, Dan
