Grateful

I sit here with my laptop and think about how blessed we are to have another spring together. It is beautiful here in North Carolina and the temperature is 61 outside. Steve is out and about doing some errands. How lucky I am. How very sorry I am for the ones who are not doing well and the ones who have lost their  battle.  Thats what all this cancer is about, the fight of your life!  Steve often wonders why he is left here and others are taken. I believe we all have a time to live and a time to die. I am searching my mind for the scripture.Well, I can't find it but I believe it's in Corinthians.(that tells me I need to study my Bible more). I do find comfort in the Bible and hope for the future. I pray that everyone is having a good day and a day without pain. May God bless each of you.  Wanda
*My friend Ellen has decided to go ahead with the Interlukein and Interferon treatment. Please say a prayer for her, the onocogist has given her a 9% chance of it NOT  coming back even with the treatment. She is 35, the same age as my daughter Lisa. Lisa also had a bout with melanoma about 10 years ago on her arm. I think is so ironic that they were childhood friends and both wound up with this.  Lisa is doing fine, she protects herself from the sun. Doctors have told Ellen that her children have a 15% chance of getting melanoma. This gives me a scare for my precious Mallory.( my grandaughter.)  Please pray for Ellen. Thanks

You are definitely blessed. Please have conscious pleasure and delight in the spring and later in the summer. All the best for continued good news.

Melanoma is a terrible disease....there are so many dangers around all of us...I don\'t know why some people can beat the odds and others can not. I pray that your friend will beat the odds and be cured from the Interleukin/Interferon....this treatment will not be easy....M has had both and he had to be hospitalized with the Interleukin treatments because they are so harsh...and he is on Interferon right now and it is just as bad....but, we know someone who had this treatment years ago and was one who got cured from it.

As for you Wanda...try to enjoy your spring weather with your hubby... life\'s little pleasures are a sweet relief from all the worry.

Love, Linda

Hi Wanda - the verses you reference are from Ecclesiastes chapter 3. What a blessing to have another spring, I agree. Enjoy the warmth and sunshine, and relish in God\'s peace. Take care - Karen
