Grandmother's funeral
I went to my grandmother's funeral yesterday and it just reinforced what a remarkable woman she was. She never complained about her physical problems or talked badly about anyone even though by the time of her death she was essentially deaf, blind, and badly stooped over. She continued with activities until the day of her death. She outlived three husbands and two children. While my grandfather says, "One more day above ground is a good day," her goal was to live to see her 100th birthday, she missed it by 4 months! My cousin thought we should just round up and say she made it! (It does bring up the question when u outlive your husbands plural which one do u end up with in heaven?)
It was an extremely long day but it was nice to see people. My right thumb has been killing me for the last two days, don't know what is up with that! I have a rhuemy visit scheduled for next week but I'm going to have to reschedule since I can't pay the co-pay right now. No plans for today beyond going to my brother-in-laws birthday celebration tonite. Might also see if hubby wants to take our computer "graveyard" to the computer recycling place. Hope everything findsĀ u well! -- Genny
