Grandkids and fires

Maddox (6) and Dylan (3) are here from Boise for two weeks. Unfortunately this was best time for all to have them here although the worst due to high high heat temperatures making doing things outdoors bad.  But tonight at 8 pm we will ride horses.
 
Wenatchee, WA on fire.  24+ homes lost, most had seconds to run, sheriff was shown running literally running home to home to warn.  The news said they literally had seconds to jump in a vehicle and leave.
I have not heard how close to my friends place this is.  And we have had one 160 acre fire near me, and two others smaller in area.  Mostly campers, 1 cigarette along roadside, 1 power pole and 1 lightning strike which is higher up and still burning.  Wind conditions are breezy fueling flames....so sad and I fear its only gonna get worse in Pacific Northwest.  California is on fire all over.
 
I pray for 40 days of rain...even will take the nights.
And my Mom is without water due to pump burning out in the well.  Pump people are so busy they can not get to her right away.  She is 88.  But insists on staying she could go to sisters in Oregon mts where it is cooler....Can't change stubborn,
