Grandma
I came out to Grandma tonight, and it was a mistake. She took it hard and said she would much rather have me continue wearing my mask than to be who I am. She cried and started talking about her life has gone wrong since her daughter died in 1980. I was just getting so I could look into a mirror again, but now I can't. It is deviating. I can't sleep or go into my room because it's where my dresses and bras are at. I don't know what to do, and I'm worried about her. I don't cry, but I did when I gave her a hug. She is a huge part of my life, and she doesn't support me. She says that she loves me, but she doesn't support me and wants to "fix" me.

Its the old generation, never talk about anything NON-straight or LGBT with them, they freak out over littlest things. They are closed minded and stuck in their ways. Wished you asked me advice first but at least she didn\'t completely disown you like some others could.
Oh my gods i\'m so sorry but i kinda have to fo go with ang here most people whem they reach a old age temd to het stuck in there \"perfect\" world and domt wan\'t to accept that there grand children are any of the lgbt trust me, do what is right by YOU even if others don\'t agree, and remember that you are beautiful both male and female
It is up to you to be happy not anyone else, The same goes for everyone else
It is terrible that the elder generation is so closed minded, they fail to see the happiness that is hidden within. They have become used to the physical appearance we are forced to show, The person they have come to expect. Change can be very difficult to accept, and may take a long time, but the only way she will ever accept it is if you stand strong be clear and persistent, that this is what YOU want. This is what will make YOU happy, she may be hurt at first but she has to realize that your happiness is important too.
Sorry to hear that. You\'re beautiful the way you are. Don\'t let family get you down. I had a cousin threaten to beat my ass if he ever saw me. Found that out through my aunt telling my mom. *hugs*
