got lawn done today//adopter of the buff cat called//its bike week, YUCK!//
i'm very jittery today. i called the doctor for rn, for the kitten that is oozing puss and the incision opened. the doctor isn't there today. she thinks he'll be there tomorrow. so first the black long haired one, that i still don't know, was it or wasn't mine, and now this. plus the black one they found was way closer to around here than he said when i talked to him on the phone. allll the answers they came up with conflicted with each other, depending on who you talked to, wth? which is it.
then the landscaper shows up and he says, there is a dead cat by the street, and i'm like WHAT? turns out its "half" a cat skeleton that it appears an animal dug up. still sad though. this definitely is NOT a good week with pets. its flipping me. this is the negative side of rescue. then the woman who adopted the buff colored one that was missing in november....calls for paperwork when she still hasn't returned the adoption agreement that i dropped off in JANUARY. she's very nice but what the hell? how can i fill anything out without her information. whatever.
then someone at the pound tells me that edna was there looking for her grey cat. i call edna and she says she didn't talk to anyone down there at all. wth? wouldn't matter if she did anyway. the right hand never knows what the left hand is doing at that place, and why involve me with any of it? i don't work there. even if she DID go there, its a public place so what difference does it make? wth?
then ehy calls to say the girl from there who he is looking for a house for, cancelled on seeing the house. i talk to her and she says she is still interested in the house. which is it? i put her on his list to be nice. its typical over there. this county in general actually. if she is cancelling just cancel. if not then don't. what is with the mini dramas? its like is your life that boring that routine things become dramas?
its bike week in north florida. i've learned something with this, there are two kinds of people with bike week,
those who love bike week and
those who HATE bike week. i hate bike week.
back when i lived in south florida, i used to say there were two kinds of people down there, those who go to clubs and those who don't go to clubs. (clubs as in music /dance/ bands and all that). I was a club person, went to clubs about 4 or 5 nights per week and if you count happy hour possibly 6. what a piss.
w got a permit for $200 and hired people to sell hotdogs during this mess called bike week, he expects to clear $2000 on it. who knows. k's friend owns a small restaurant just south of here and she claims that bike week makes her enough money that if she wanted to she could close down for the year and just relax. if i were her, i would definitely attempt to do that.
k is FINALLY speaking to ph again. they haven't talked for five years after 45 years of friendship? he was away in germany for part of that time and is now retiring. amazing, everyone is old enough for that. his assistant is doing all the work except for two days of it. he says when he got back, everything was still in order and he didn't steal anything. i said this to my doctor, who was a co-owner of a bar over here, in a COLLEGE area. the opposite happened with him, the other owner was bringing in extra cash registers on the nights he was there and then bringing the cash registers home. he bankrupted everyone. amazing what happens to people. he didn't need to invest in it. he was bored with just being a doctor and wanted to do something more.

the latest at the pound: he\'ll leave when he is supposed to give you paperwork or have your animal seen and say he is taking care of hens and roosters. in other words, he doesn\'t have the work done so he is avoiding squalking people? how about get the work done, give it to the person, and don\'t create mini dramas over something that should be done routinely and is your job to get it done? life isn\'t difficult you know, people make it difficult for THEMSELVES.

oh, i forgot, the light stopped working outside. so he cut back the branches, he says the lights can cease working after two years. w says they should last ten years. here we go. which is it?
think i pissed off my landscaper . i told him the yuan was replacing the dollar as the world currency which to me also means china will supplant usa as a world power. like they say don\'t discuss politics or religion. usually he is into politics. his wife calls it \"his insanity\" which if he\'d go on line or take classes in it, he would really enjoy it because he knows so much of it already. yay! i know he didn\'t like my view on china taking over though a lot of people agree with me on that and think the same thing. he thinks people should find a spot, buy a lot of acreage and stay away from everything else. similar to people who leave and live on a boat. they claim THAT is real living and civilization is a bunch of bull shit. probably true.
he says, the u.s. dollar is based on oil (not gold or silver and they did that on purpose). then he thinks about it and he realizes, china has gone green. they purchased all of the research they were trying to put here and the oil companies got rid of it all. china bought it all at auction. china doesn\'t NEED oil and they are DEMANDING all business transactions be done in gold standard, which THEY have and we have NONE.
then i capped it off saying that western europe has everything we have and MORE. i really wasn\'t trying to piss him off. he usually loves to talk about politics. not today though. i think i caught him in the MIDDLE of his day, i forgot he was working.
both he and w checked on the light thing. i have to get another bulb. someone did something to the light in the back so its not going off and is staying on. i have no idea how to fix that. what a week.
