Got Conscience?

Conscience - the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct, motives or thoughts, impelling one toward right action. I have a conscience, as I suspect most people do.  Do we always use our conscience... or just when its convienent?  For me.... just when its convienent for me.  And usually --- really overboard or really underboard. Today, as I was walking past the breakroom I noticed leftover BBQ from a meeting.  I got a piece of bread and smathered it with sauce.  Fold, chow and drip. I turned around and seen the drip on the floor.  Turned around to walk off, then my conscience started nagging at me.  Cleaned it up.  Walked past the breakroom again, say the empty bread bag I had left.  Oh well, cleaning people will get it.  Gosh darn it, my conscience got me again.  I grabbed the bag and threw it in the trash.  I was at Wal-mart last week --- bought groceries and a new vaccuum cleaner.  Check out guy rang me all up except for the vaccuum which I had left in the cart.  I waited a few seconds, insert conscience, then asked him if he was gonna ring up my vaccuum cleaner.  What comes around goes around... right? Why then... do I ignore my conscience when I'm gambling?  Using money that I know is for gas and groceries and my child's entertainment---- and carelessly throwing it away.  And for what? To arrest my anxiety, stress or loneliness?  I dont think so.  That's a problem.   My solution --  I dont have one yet, but I think I'm on the right path.  I am reading a lot of journals and discussions, trying to journal more than I used.  Listening to powerful inspiration tapes --- and doing what is recommended.  Working on my thoughts, casting down thoughts that do not agree with Gods plan for me.  And believe me, God does have a plan for my life (that's a whole 'nother story). And Satan has a plan for my life too, but I will not buy into his plan anymore.  I am trying.... for once, I am doing something for myself that is positive, not negative.
