I have tried all week..all day trying to find someone mom can stay with...Oh this RESPITE how they work here is...have to stay like 14 days...$80.00 per day..I hope someone in this world is rich but it is not us..
Mom got sorts hateful today..once again she messed with the toaster..Why she was fixing toast don't know, she had just eaten...I guess she didn't remember..hubby caught her..at least didn't get shocked as she was putting a knife down the holes of the toaster...Yikes
Called sister around 7 tonight...gosh if I had been in front of her I would have been on my knees the way I heard myself asking her for help..After all she is the one who says mom can not be left alone..I don't think so either now, but who knows..she just said there is just not any way...I said I have had her for 2 months now..and no break..I need to go to this game for Kenny and for my grandson...but did she give an inch..NOPE
So finally I mentioned one of my mom's friends..My sister thought that was great..so I turned it over to her to contact the woman..She said she would love to have mom over..Yea two sick ladies taking care of each other..but I put it in my sister's hands as they all live in the same town..and even though my sister asked me to make up a new POA and take her off...boy she thinks I am nuts...she don't know this but she made the arragements for this weekend...let's just decide I won't go back over there...and pick mom up..then it's back on my sister's hands...
Trouble is I am not that way...so I will pick her up Sat...
Social worker coming Monday2...boy or boy do I hope we get an answer...positive...I need mom to be somewhere they can give her more care than I can...You can love someone but just not be able to care for them...
Hope we win the game tomorrow night..I know my grandson would love to be the one who makes the play for his dad...
Ken get a front row seat tomorrow night sweety, we will b there cheering Woody on and know you and all the ones in Heaven will be too...No matter what's team is playing tomorrow night...tell all your friends to cheer for Woody's team..as if you wouldn't...Boy, baby this is so hard going back there knowing you won't be there...Mom sure loves you..and misses you...Thanks for helping me work it out for mom...

Hi Sandi: It gas been awhile since I have been able to read journals. It is good to be back! It sounds like life has been a challenge for you with your mom with you. Yes, you can love someone and not be able to care for them. It is a full time 24 -7 job! I have often told people who are hesitant to have their loved ones admitted to our facility that it gives them a chance to spend quality time rather than just providing physical care. To me that is more satisfying tor all. I hope all goes well.
