Google News - Yet another report announcer?

In Google's current challenge towards becoming a global information heart, I have come to notice that the outcomes sent from Google News seems like only the articles we publish daily. So I ask, doesn't it look like Google News resembles an article index of some forms?

I only mention this because when publishing my website marketing articles, I often wonder if they show up within Google News? 9 times out of 10, they do! The truth is, they generally arrive within 48 hours to be indexed from other top related sites.
