goodness gracious!
i've been sick all week... this cold has irritated the heck out of my asthma. did i mention before that for some odd reason last month my asthma medicine got reduced in dosage? well according to the pharmacist i'm supposed to by doc orders. anyways... so i've been fighting this stupid cold all week and over the last few nights i keep coughing and wheezing, didn't get good sleep. so i call urgent care ysterday morning and they tell me that the only slot open was in a 1/2 hr. well it would be close timing cuz it's a 1/2 hr drive! anyway, i get there and it turns out the lady i spoke to never booked the appt!! she tells me that she thought she had made it clear on the phone that i should do home care instead. grrrrr! and then tells me that they are short staff so she can't take me. so i walk down to module 3 where my primary doc is and let them know what happened. it took like 2 hrs but they were finally able to see me. and then after all that, they tell me to just go back to the same dosage of asthma meds i was taking before it got decreased. and i'm like "what about a decongestant??" they finally get back to me and tell me that they can't give me one because of the tachycardia (hrt rate over 100/min) i have been having over the last several months, and decongestants may raise the heart rate. so ask them about the cardiologist referral that was supposed to be put in like 2 months ago. and they checked and said i got an appt with the cardilologist coming up in Feb. Good!! finally! took em long enough! so by the time i get home (which is like 4 hrs after i got to th VA)nothing was really accomplished other than them telling me to increase my inhaler dosage. and that's about it. i felt like i just wasted so much time! then as the later afternoon comes around...Silver, who still has his stitches, gets out! Matthew forgot to close the front door properly or lock it and he got out!! i panicked!!! i called Matt and told him to hurry up and get back to help me find the cat! the last thing i needed was for him to get any dirt near or in his wound or even worse, snag his stitches on something and it re-open! mom and i were looking all over and around the out side for him. Matt gets back and joins the search. turns out Silver had run into the woods, 2 fences over. Ricky called the Fire dpt and they said they couldn't help. Matt went into the woods from the front side of the house and i went from the back side of the house. half way up the small short hill i was already out of breath and very itchy. later on, Matt tells me where he had spotted him but also tells me that he gave up trying to get him. so i attempt to climb over the fence that's taller than me and get stuck on the top! my ass still hurts from that. and when i finally get over to the other side, Silver shows up on the Opposite side of where i am and runs over back into the house! gosh dammit!! I got stuck and then over the fence for no damn reason! BAD KITTY!!! after taking a shower i go to check on his stitches and they looked fine. not dirty or open thank God!!! yesterday was such a nightmare! well the only good thing about it is after taking my doubled dosage of asthma meds i actually got some sleep till about 4 am, when all the coughing started all over again. well that pretty much sums up my venting. thanks for taking the time to read it! thanks for being awesome friends!

Doctors all see to make you wit for hours - it\'s ridiculous isn\'t it?? Glad your astham medicine is back to what it should be and you got some sleep.
Naughty Silver... obviously he\'s feeling better!! I hope your ass is feeling better real soon, lol.
Isn\'t it something how doctors can make you wait forever to see them, but if you don\'t make an appt, or don\'t cancel within 24 hrs of an appt, they want to bill you. Like our time isn\'t as important as theirs. I think some of them has a \"God\" complex!! Thank goodness Silver is ok. Men don\'t think, do they?? Hug that kitty for me and Roxy too, cuz my little golden loves kitties, Zoey on the other hand, wouldn\'t mind having one for lunch! LOL Glad things worked out in the long run anyway. Hey, did you ever ask your doctor about taking mucinex (which is guiafensen) to help with chest congestion?? Whenever my allergies get bad and I get lots of chest congestion, mucinex is what helps me the most and I don\'t remember it ever increasing my heart rate, but I could be wrong! Hang in there and feel back to yourself soon!! xox
what a bad kitty!!! but I\'m sure he was having fun and laughing at ya all trying to catch him!! glad he was ok though!! hope you are doing better now and not so sore..have a quick dip ti relive some pain I\'ll pretend I\'m there also! lo take care!! hugzz
